BusinessDayCalculator.org is built and maintained by Barron Hansen and operated by SquarepegIdeas, Texas, United States.

Barron Hansen has spent 25 years building tools for businesses to manage operations, contracts, and client billing.

The site has no accounts and no database. Its pages are generated in advance from the holiday data files and served as static files, and the calculators run in your browser.

What the calculators do

The main calculator counts the business days between two dates, adds or subtracts business days from a start date, counts from today, finds the due date for Net 30, 60 and 90 terms in calendar or business days, and works out SLA deadlines. Each mode can skip weekends and the holidays in the calendar of the country you pick.

The main calculator does its counting in your browser. Once you change an input, it writes your inputs into the page address, including any dates you add under Advanced options, which are also saved in your browser. Your browser sends that address to the server that hosts this site when you reload the page or open a saved or shared link, and names it as the referring page in later requests to this site. The privacy policy explains which outside services can see the page address and what the site's analytics and advertising collect.

What the calculators cover

The calculators cover 25 countries. Each country has its own holiday file, covering 2024 to 2029, and its own weekend: the calculators count Friday and Saturday as the weekend for Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, Saturday alone for Israel, and Saturday and Sunday for the others. Regional pages add the holiday calendars of 88 sub-national regions in these countries: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain and Switzerland.

If you need a calendar the site does not cover, the Advanced options section of the main calculator accepts your own dates to exclude, one per line, and keeps them in your browser.

How the data is checked

Each country's holiday file names the official source it is checked against and records the date of the last check. The country pages show both, and the sources register lists each file's source in one place.

The calculators and the holiday, month and year pages all read the same data files, so a correction to one country's file changes every page that uses that country's calendar.
