Business Days Between Two Dates

Use this calculator to find the exact number of business days between any two dates, excluding weekends and public holidays. It suits any period measured in business days, such as a contract term, a payment window or a project timeline. For a legal deadline, follow the counting rule in the law or contract that sets it, and check that the holidays listed in the result are the ones that rule recognises. Select your country to apply its public holidays, and get results instantly without any sign-up or download required. The holiday lists run from 2024 to 2029; for a date in another year the calculator shows a notice, and that year's public holidays are not excluded.
How the count works
Pick a start and end date and the calculator counts the business days between them, skipping the selected country's weekend days and public holidays. By default neither the start date nor the end date is counted; the two checkboxes add either one. The example below runs from Monday May 11, 2026 to Friday June 12, 2026 on the US calendar. Memorial Day on Monday May 25 is shaded amber because it is a US federal holiday on a weekday, so it is left out. The calculator gives 22 business days with neither date counted, 23 with one of them counted, and 24 with both. The calendar-days figure in the result covers the same span as the business-day figure: the days between the two dates, plus each date whose box is ticked.
