Business Days by Country
Last reviewed: July 24, 2026
This hub gathers every country the calculator supports in one place: 25 national business-day tools, each wired to that country's own public-holiday calendar and weekend rule. The 25 were chosen for depth of demand and quality of source data, spanning the largest English-speaking markets, the euro-zone economies, Latin America, the Gulf, and East Asia. Every holiday set traces to a government gazette, a labour ministry, or a central bank.
The weekend is not the same everywhere, and getting it wrong throws off every deadline. Most of the 25 run a Monday to Friday workweek with a Saturday and Sunday weekend. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel, and Egypt run Sunday to Thursday instead, with Friday and Saturday off. The United Arab Emirates is the one that trips people up: it moved to a Saturday-Sunday weekend in January 2022, so Friday is a working day again. Each card below states the rule the calculator applies.
