Philippines Business Day Calculator
Calculate business days in the Philippines with Philippine national holidays pre-configured. This calculator excludes regular holidays including Independence Day, Bonifacio Day, Rizal Day, Christmas, and other Philippine public holidays. Use it for BPO and outsourcing project timelines, SEC and BIR filing deadlines, payroll periods, and any commercial obligation measured in Philippine business days.
How Philippine Business Days Are Defined
In the Philippines, business days are Monday through Friday, excluding regular national holidays proclaimed by the President. The Philippine holiday system has three tiers: regular holidays (full-day, with pay), special non-working holidays (typically half or reduced pay), and special working holidays. This calculator includes regular national holidays. Special non-working days, including local government unit holidays, are not included. Proclamations can adjust holidays with little notice, so verify against the latest official proclamation for legally critical deadlines.

Common Use Cases in the Philippines
BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) regulations and interbank clearing timelines reference business days. BIR tax deadlines are set by calendar date but banking transaction windows depend on business days. Philippine labor law, particularly under DOLE regulations, uses business days for many administrative deadlines including NLRC proceedings and SENA conciliation windows. BPO and outsourcing contracts serving US or EU clients often specify the client's local business days rather than Philippine holidays.
