The 2028 table for Bayern lists 12 dates: 11 fall on a weekday and 1 on a weekend. That leaves 249 working days in 2028. Like the Germany calculator, this page counts Monday to Friday as working days; what changes is the holiday list.
How Bayern differs from the nationwide German holidays
Art. 1 of the bayerisches Feiertagsgesetz names Heilige Drei Könige (6 January in this calendar), Fronleichnam, and Allerheiligen (1 November in this calendar) as gesetzliche Feiertage "im ganzen Staatsgebiet", and this calendar adds those three to the nationwide German Feiertage. Fronleichnam falls on Thursday 4 June 2026, 27 May 2027 and 15 June 2028; Allerheiligen falls on a Sunday in 2026, a Monday in 2027 and a Wednesday in 2028. Mariä Himmelfahrt is a gesetzlicher Feiertag only "in Gemeinden mit überwiegend katholischer Bevölkerung", so it is left out of this statewide calendar; whether it applies depends on the municipality. The Friedensfest on 8 August is a gesetzlicher Feiertag only in the city of Augsburg and is also left out.
