Berlin Business Day Calculator
Last reviewed: May 19, 2026 · Holiday data: June 24, 2026
Calculate business days in Berlin with its own statewide Feiertage. Berlin shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Germany, but its Feiertage calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the count built on the nine nationwide Feiertage.
How Berlin differs from the nationwide German holidays
Berlin adds a single Feiertag beyond the nine nationwide German holidays: Internationaler Frauentag on 8 March, a gesetzlicher Feiertag in the city-state since 2019. It is the only state holiday Berlin observes, so in years where 8 March falls on a weekday the Berlin business-day count is one day shorter than the federal-only count. In 2026 the day lands on a Sunday and so does not change the count; in 2027 it falls on a Monday and does. The working week is Monday to Friday with a Saturday and Sunday weekend.
Worked example
Adding 2 business days to Friday, March 6, 2026 using Berlin's Feiertage lands on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
