How Brandenburg differs from the nationwide German holidays

Brandenburg is unusual in counting Ostersonntag (Easter Sunday) and Pfingstsonntag (Whit Sunday) as gesetzliche Feiertage in their own right, alongside Reformationstag on 31 October. Because Easter Sunday and Whit Sunday always fall on a Sunday, they never change a business-day count, and Reformationstag falls on a Saturday in 2026 and a Sunday in 2027, so for both shipped years Brandenburg's working-day total matches the nationwide German count even though its holiday calendar is longer. The state holidays move the count only in years where 31 October is a weekday. The working week is Monday to Friday with a Saturday and Sunday weekend.
