How Brandenburg differs from the nationwide German holidays
Brandenburg's Feiertagsgesetz (§ 2) lists der Ostersonntag and der Pfingstsonntag among the gesetzlich anerkannte Feiertage, together with das Reformationsfest on 31 October, and this calendar adds all three to the nationwide German Feiertage. Ostersonntag (5 April 2026, 28 March 2027, 16 April 2028) and Pfingstsonntag (24 May 2026, 16 May 2027, 4 June 2028) fall on Sundays, so they close no weekday. Reformationstag falls on a Saturday in 2026 and a Sunday in 2027, so Brandenburg's working-day count matches the nationwide one in those years; in 2028 it falls on a Tuesday and closes one more weekday.
