How Niedersachsen differs from the nationwide German holidays

Lower Saxony adds one Feiertag to the nationwide German Feiertage: der 31. Oktober as Reformationstag, which the Interior Ministry says was added to the staatlich anerkannte Feiertage by an amending act of 22 June 2018. It falls on a Saturday in 2026 and a Sunday in 2027, so the Lower Saxon working-day count equals the nationwide count in those years; in 2028 it falls on a Tuesday and closes one more weekday. The ministry's list contains no Fronleichnam or Allerheiligen.
