Fronleichnam falls on a Thursday in both 2026 and 2027 and shortens the count both years; Allerheiligen lands on a Sunday in 2026 (no effect) and a Monday in 2027 (a further closure). With its strong Catholic tradition along the Rhine and Mosel, the state's holiday calendar runs longer than the federal-only set. The working week is Monday to Friday with a Saturday and Sunday weekend.
