How Schleswig-Holstein differs from the nationwide German holidays

Schleswig-Holstein, Germany's northernmost state on the border with Denmark, adds Reformationstag on 31 October as its single statewide Feiertag, in force since 2018. In 2026 it falls on a Saturday and in 2027 on a Sunday, so the state working-day count equals the nationwide German count in both shipped years; a difference appears only when 31 October is a weekday. The state does not observe the southern Catholic holidays. The working week is Monday to Friday with a Saturday and Sunday weekend.
