Canarias Business Day Calculator

Last reviewed: May 19, 2026 · Holiday data: June 24, 2026

Calculate business days in Canarias with its own autonomic public holidays. Canarias shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Spain, but its holiday calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the national count.

How Canarias differs from the national Spanish holidays

Canarias observes Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday) on 2 April alongside the national Viernes Santo, and adds the Día de Canarias on 30 May, which falls on a Saturday in 2026. Because Todos los Santos (1 November) falls on a Sunday, Canarias moves the rest day to Monday 2 November; it does not move the Día de la Constitución (6 December), which stays on its Sunday date. The working days Canarias closes beyond the national set are therefore Jueves Santo and 2 November. Each island also has its own festividad (for example Nuestra Señora del Pino on Gran Canaria), which is a local holiday left out of this region-wide count.

Worked example

Adding 2 business days to Friday, October 30, 2026 using Canarias's holidays lands on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. With the national Spanish holidays, the same calculation lands on Tuesday, November 3, 2026: the gap comes from Canarias's own calendar.
