How Extremadura differs from the national Spanish holidays

Extremadura observes Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday) on 2 April alongside the national Viernes Santo, and adds the Día de Extremadura on 8 September, a Tuesday in 2026. Because Todos los Santos (1 November) and the Día de la Constitución (6 December) both fall on a Sunday in 2026, Extremadura moves the rest day to the following Monday: 2 November and 7 December. Those four weekday closures pull the Extremaduran working-day count below the national one.
