Extremadura Business Day Calculator

Last reviewed: May 19, 2026 · Holiday data: June 24, 2026

Calculate business days in Extremadura with its own autonomic public holidays. Extremadura shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Spain, but its holiday calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the national count.

How Extremadura differs from the national Spanish holidays

Extremadura observes Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday) on 2 April alongside the national Viernes Santo, and adds the Día de Extremadura on 8 September, a Tuesday in 2026. Because Todos los Santos (1 November) and the Día de la Constitución (6 December) both fall on a Sunday in 2026, Extremadura moves the rest day to the following Monday: 2 November and 7 December. Those four weekday closures pull the Extremaduran working-day count below the national one.

Worked example

Adding 2 business days to Monday, September 7, 2026 using Extremadura's holidays lands on Thursday, September 10, 2026. With the national Spanish holidays, the same calculation lands on Wednesday, September 9, 2026: the gap comes from Extremadura's own calendar.
