Galicia Business Day Calculator

Last reviewed: May 19, 2026 · Holiday data: June 24, 2026

Calculate business days in Galicia with its own autonomic public holidays. Galicia shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Spain, but its holiday calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the national count.

How Galicia differs from the national Spanish holidays

Galicia adds four days beyond the national set. It elects both San José on 19 March and Santiago Apóstol, the Día Nacional de Galicia, on 25 July, the dual option Galicia is allowed, and it also observes Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday) on 2 April and San Juan (San Xoán) on 24 June. Santiago falls on a Saturday in 2026, so the working days Galicia closes beyond the national calendar are San José, Jueves Santo, and San Xoán. Todos los Santos (1 November) and the Día de la Constitución (6 December) both fall on a Sunday in 2026 and Galicia leaves them on that date.

Worked example

Adding 2 business days to Tuesday, June 23, 2026 using Galicia's holidays lands on Friday, June 26, 2026. With the national Spanish holidays, the same calculation lands on Thursday, June 25, 2026: the gap comes from Galicia's own calendar.
