How Islas Baleares differs from the national Spanish holidays

The Illes Balears adds four days of its own: the Monday after the Día de les Illes Balears on 2 March, Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday) on 2 April, Lunes de Pascua (Dilluns de Pasqua, Easter Monday) on 6 April, and San Esteban (Sant Esteve) on 26 December. Sant Esteve falls on a Saturday in 2026, so the working days the Balears closes beyond the national set are the 2 March Monday, Jueves Santo, and Dilluns de Pasqua. Todos los Santos (1 November) and the Día de la Constitución (6 December) both fall on a Sunday in 2026 and the Balears leaves them on that date. Each island adds its own local fiestas, which are not part of this region-wide count.
