La Rioja Business Day Calculator

Last reviewed: May 19, 2026 · Holiday data: June 24, 2026

Calculate business days in La Rioja with its own autonomic public holidays. La Rioja shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Spain, but its holiday calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the national count.

How La Rioja differs from the national Spanish holidays

La Rioja adds Lunes de Pascua (Easter Monday) on 6 April and the Día de La Rioja on 9 June, and observes Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday) on 2 April alongside the national Viernes Santo. Because the Día de la Constitución (6 December) falls on a Sunday, La Rioja moves the rest day to Monday 7 December; it does not move Todos los Santos (1 November), which stays on its Sunday date. Jueves Santo, Lunes de Pascua, the 9 June regional day, and 7 December are the four weekday closures beyond the national set.

Worked example

Adding 2 business days to Monday, June 8, 2026 using La Rioja's holidays lands on Thursday, June 11, 2026. With the national Spanish holidays, the same calculation lands on Wednesday, June 10, 2026: the gap comes from La Rioja's own calendar.
