Madrid Business Day Calculator

Last reviewed: May 19, 2026 · Holiday data: June 24, 2026

Calculate business days in Madrid with its own autonomic public holidays. Madrid shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Spain, but its holiday calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the national count.

How Madrid differs from the national Spanish holidays

Madrid adds the Fiesta de la Comunidad de Madrid (Dos de Mayo) on 2 May, which falls on a Saturday in 2026, and observes Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday) on 2 April alongside the national Viernes Santo. Because Todos los Santos (1 November) and the Día de la Constitución (6 December) both fall on a Sunday in 2026, Madrid moves the rest day to the following Monday: 2 November and 7 December. Those two Mondays plus Jueves Santo are the working days Madrid closes beyond the national Spanish set, so a deadline counted in Madrid can land later than the national count. San Isidro on 15 May is a local fiesta of the city of Madrid, not a region-wide holiday, so it is left out of this count.

Worked example

Adding 2 business days to Friday, October 30, 2026 using Madrid's holidays lands on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. With the national Spanish holidays, the same calculation lands on Tuesday, November 3, 2026: the gap comes from Madrid's own calendar.
