País Vasco Business Day Calculator

Last reviewed: May 19, 2026 · Holiday data: June 24, 2026

Calculate business days in País Vasco with its own autonomic public holidays. País Vasco shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Spain, but its holiday calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the national count.

How País Vasco differs from the national Spanish holidays

The País Vasco adds four days beyond the national set: San José on 19 March, Jueves Santo (Maundy Thursday) on 2 April, Lunes de Pascua (Pazko astelehena, Easter Monday) on 6 April, and Santiago Apóstol on 25 July. Santiago falls on a Saturday in 2026, so the working days the País Vasco closes beyond the national calendar are San José, Jueves Santo, and Lunes de Pascua. Todos los Santos (1 November) and the Día de la Constitución (6 December) both fall on a Sunday in 2026 and the País Vasco leaves them on that date. The three historical territories of Araba, Bizkaia, and Gipuzkoa add their own local fiestas, which are not part of this region-wide count.

Worked example

Adding 2 business days to Wednesday, March 18, 2026 using País Vasco's holidays lands on Monday, March 23, 2026. With the national Spanish holidays, the same calculation lands on Friday, March 20, 2026: the gap comes from País Vasco's own calendar.
