Manitoba Business Day Calculator

Last reviewed: May 19, 2026 · Holiday data: June 24, 2026

Calculate business days in Manitoba with its own statutory holidays. Manitoba shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Canada, but its statutory holiday calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the federal count.

How Manitoba differs from the federal Canadian holidays

Manitoba recognizes eight general holidays under The Employment Standards Code. It replaces the February long weekend with Louis Riel Day on the third Monday of February and does not treat Easter Monday, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (30 September), or Boxing Day as general holidays, so those three federal days are dropped. Remembrance Day is handled separately under The Remembrance Day Act, which closes most businesses but is not a Code general holiday, and Terry Fox Day on the first Monday of August is optional rather than statutory; both are named here but left out of the general-holiday count. The working week is Monday to Friday with a Saturday and Sunday weekend.

Worked example

Adding 2 business days to Friday, February 13, 2026 using Manitoba's statutory holidays lands on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. With the federal Canadian holidays, the same calculation lands on Tuesday, February 17, 2026: the gap comes from Manitoba's own calendar.
