How New Brunswick differs from the federal Canadian holidays
New Brunswick's Employment Standards page lists eight paid public holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Canada Day, New Brunswick Day, Labour Day, Remembrance Day and Christmas Day. Against the federal Canadian set that adds Family Day and New Brunswick Day and leaves out Victoria Day, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving and Boxing Day, so a New Brunswick count drops those four. When a holiday falls on a non-working day, the same page says a qualifying employee must receive another working day off with pay in lieu of it, or, if the employee agrees, a regular day's pay.
