Calculate business days in Saskatchewan with its own statutory holidays. Saskatchewan shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Canada, but its statutory holiday calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the federal count.
How Saskatchewan differs from the federal Canadian holidays
Saskatchewan runs ten public holidays under The Saskatchewan Employment Act. It adds Family Day on the third Monday of February and Saskatchewan Day on the first Monday of August, neither of which is in the federal set. Saskatchewan does not observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (30 September) or Boxing Day as public holidays, so a count built on the Saskatchewan calendar drops those two federal days. Victoria Day, Thanksgiving, and Remembrance Day are kept. Saskatchewan grants no substitute weekday when a public holiday falls on a Saturday, and the province says so directly: when a public holiday falls on a Saturday it is not observed on a different day. Christmas Day 2027 and both New Year's Day and Canada Day 2028 therefore stay on their Saturday dates and close no weekday. The working week is Monday to Friday with a Saturday and Sunday weekend.

Adding 2 business days to Friday, July 31, 2026 using Saskatchewan's statutory holidays lands on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. With the federal Canadian holidays, the same calculation lands on Tuesday, August 4, 2026: the gap comes from Saskatchewan's own calendar.
