Thüringen Business Day Calculator

Last reviewed: May 19, 2026 · Holiday data: June 24, 2026

Calculate business days in Thüringen with its own statewide Feiertage. Thüringen shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Germany, but its Feiertage calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the count built on the nine nationwide Feiertage.

How Thüringen differs from the nationwide German holidays

Thuringia adds two statewide Feiertage: Weltkindertag (World Children's Day) on 20 September, a gesetzlicher Feiertag in the state since 2019, and Reformationstag on 31 October. Weltkindertag falls on a Sunday in 2026 (no effect) and a Monday in 2027, when it shortens the count; Reformationstag falls on a weekend in both years. Fronleichnam is a holiday only in a handful of predominantly Catholic municipalities, not statewide, so it is left out of this count. The working week is Monday to Friday with a Saturday and Sunday weekend.

Worked example

Adding 2 business days to Friday, September 18, 2026 using Thüringen's Feiertage lands on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
