Thüringen Public Holidays 2026

Last reviewed: October 14, 2026 · Holiday data: August 24, 2026

The 2026 table for Thüringen lists 11 dates: 7 fall on a weekday and 4 on a weekend. That leaves 254 working days in 2026. Like the Germany calculator, this page counts Monday to Friday as working days; what changes is the holiday list.

How Thüringen differs from the nationwide German holidays

This calendar adds two Feiertage to the nationwide German Feiertage for Thuringia: Weltkindertag (World Children's Day) on 20 September and Reformationstag on 31 October. Weltkindertag falls on a Sunday in 2026 (no effect), a Monday in 2027 and a Wednesday in 2028, when it shortens the count. Reformationstag falls on a weekend in 2026 and 2027 and on a Tuesday in 2028. Fronleichnam is not in this statewide calendar.

Added in Thüringen (2026)

Weltkindertag (Sunday, September 20)
Reformationstag (Saturday, October 31)
