2027 year summary

The 3 weekend dates in 2027 fall on a Saturday or Sunday, days the count already excludes, so the working-day reduction comes only from the 12 weekday dates. Vietnam's count here is the Labour Code's. Article 112 grants 11 paid holiday days, and Article 111(3) gives a worker whose weekly rest day coincides with one of them a compensatory day on the next working day. The employer sets the weekly rest day (Article 111(2)); this table takes Saturday and Sunday, so an Article 112 holiday on either day adds the next working day to the list. From 2026, Resolution 28/2026/QH16 of the National Assembly adds a paid day off on 24 November, Vietnam Culture Day. Tet is the longest closure: five paid days whose placement the Prime Minister fixes each year. National Day is 2 September plus one adjacent day before or after it, and Hung Kings Commemoration Day falls on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month.

Holidays not included

No provincial holidays are in this national set, and two further layers are left out on purpose. An annual arrangement can swap working days for state agencies, as notice 9441/TB-BNV did in 2026, giving public servants Monday 31 August off in exchange for work on Saturday 22 August; the swap does not bind private employers, and this calculator neither subtracts the Monday nor adds the Saturday. The Hanoi Stock Exchange followed the public sector: its 2026 calendar closes from 31 August to 2 September and does not trade on the make-up Saturday. Add such days under Advanced options if your contract follows the public-sector or the trading calendar.
