South Australia adds Adelaide Cup Day on the second Monday of March (s 3(1)(c)), Easter Saturday (s 3(1)(e)), Easter Sunday (s 3(1)(f)) and Labour Day on the first Monday of October (s 3(1)(j)). The Proclamation Day holiday, which South Australia observes on 26 December, falls on a Saturday in 2026, a Sunday in 2027, and a Tuesday in 2028. Under s 3(3) one that falls on a Saturday or Sunday keeps its date and the following Monday or Tuesday is a public holiday in addition, which is why Monday, December 28, 2026 and Tuesday, December 28, 2027 are public holidays.

25 April is a Sunday in 2027. Under s 3(1)(h), a bare date with no weekend clause, no weekday is granted, so the holiday costs no working day this year.

25 April is a Tuesday in 2028, so Anzac Day is a public holiday on that weekday itself and s 3(1)(h) never needed a weekend clause.
