Calculate business days in Victoria with its own public holidays. Like the Australia calculator, this page counts Monday to Friday as working days; what changes is the holiday list, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the national count.
How Victoria differs from the national Australian holidays
Victoria keeps every national Australian public holiday and adds Labour Day on the second Monday of March, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday, the Friday before the AFL Grand Final, and Melbourne Cup Day on the first Tuesday of November. Business Victoria notes that Melbourne Cup Day is a public holiday across all of Victoria unless a non-metro council has arranged an alternate local holiday. The Friday before the AFL Grand Final is Friday 25 September in 2026; for 2027 and 2028 Business Victoria lists it as 'Subject to AFL schedule', so those dates are not in this calendar yet. Anzac Day is commemorated on the day it falls, with no replacement holiday when it falls on a weekend. When Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day falls on a weekend, an additional public holiday is given on the following Monday or Tuesday and the weekend date stays on the list: Boxing Day 2026 is Saturday 26 and Monday 28 December. The King's Birthday is the same June date as the national set.
Worked example
Adding 3 business days to Monday, November 2, 2026 using Victoria's public holidays lands on Friday, November 6, 2026. With the national Australian public holidays, the same calculation lands on Thursday, November 5, 2026: the gap comes from Victoria's own calendar.

How Victoria's rules play out across 2026 to 2028
Victoria adds Labour Day on the second Monday of March (s 6(d)), Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday (s 6(f) and (fa)), the Friday before the AFL Grand Final (s 6(ia)) and Melbourne Cup Day on the first Tuesday of November (s 6(j)). Melbourne Cup Day is the first Tuesday of November, so the Monday before it is a working day between a weekend and a public holiday, except where a non-metro council has arranged an alternate local holiday: Monday, November 2, 2026, before the Cup on November 3, Monday, November 1, 2027, before the Cup on November 2, and Monday, November 6, 2028, before the Cup on November 7.
Anzac Day shows how much the weekend rules matter, year by year:
25 April is a Saturday in 2026. Under s 6(h), which lists 25 April as a bare date, no weekday is granted, so the holiday costs no working day this year.
25 April is a Sunday in 2027. Under s 6(h), which lists 25 April as a bare date, no weekday is granted, so the holiday costs no working day this year.
25 April is a Tuesday in 2028, so Anzac Day is a public holiday on that weekday itself and s 6(h) needs no weekend clause.

A Victoria count and a count on the national Australian set give the same answer unless the span crosses one of these dates. Each public holiday that only Victoria has on a weekday pushes a Victoria deadline one working day later; each one that only the national Australian set has pulls it one day earlier.
