Victoria Business Day Calculator

Last reviewed: May 19, 2026 · Holiday data: June 23, 2026

Calculate business days in Victoria with its own public holidays. Victoria shares the Monday to Friday working week and the Saturday and Sunday weekend with the rest of Australia, but its public holiday calendar is different, so due dates and deadlines can land differently from the national count.

How Victoria differs from the national Australian holidays

Victoria layers its own public holidays on top of the national Australian set. It adds Labour Day on the second Monday of March, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday, the Friday before the AFL Grand Final in late September, and Melbourne Cup Day on the first Tuesday of November. Victoria does not move Anzac Day when 25 April falls on a weekend, and its King's Birthday is the same June date as the national set. The working week is Monday to Friday with a Saturday and Sunday weekend, so the extra weekday holidays are what shift due dates.

Worked example

Adding 3 business days to Monday, November 2, 2026 using Victoria's public holidays lands on Friday, November 6, 2026. With the national Australian public holidays, the same calculation lands on Thursday, November 5, 2026: the gap comes from Victoria's own calendar.
