How Obwalden differs from the Switzerland calculator
Obwalden's law on public rest days (GDB 975.2, Art. 2) lists as holidays Neujahr, Auffahrt, Fronleichnam, the Bundesfeiertag, Mariä Himmelfahrt (15 August), the Bruderklausenfest (25 September), Allerheiligen (1 November) and Mariä Empfängnis (8 December), and Karfreitag and Weihnachten (25 December) among its high feast days. Easter Monday, Whit Monday and 26 December are not in the law, so this page counts them as working days. Against this site's eight-day Swiss baseline that adds five days and drops three. Bruder Klaus falls on a Friday in 2026, a Saturday in 2027 and a Monday in 2028.

Adding 1 business day to Wednesday, June 3, 2026 using Obwalden's holidays lands on Friday, June 5, 2026. With the Switzerland calculator's holidays, the same calculation lands on Thursday, June 4, 2026: the gap comes from Obwalden's own calendar.
