How Ticino differs from the Switzerland calculator
Ticino's law on official holidays (RL 843.200, art. 1) designates fifteen days: Capo d'anno, Epifania (6 January), San Giuseppe (19 March), Lunedì di Pasqua, Primo maggio, Ascensione, Lunedì di Pentecoste, Corpus Domini, San Pietro e Paolo (29 June), 1 August, Assunzione (15 August), Ognissanti (1 November), Immacolata (8 December), Natale and Santo Stefano. Good Friday is not among them, so the rows drop it (3 April 2026, 26 March 2027, 14 April 2028), and against this site's eight-day Swiss baseline the list adds eight days. The law applying the federal Labour Act (RL 843.100, art. 6) treats nine of the fifteen as equal to Sundays and the other six as official holidays that are not; this page counts all fifteen.
Worked example
Adding 1 business day to Monday, January 5, 2026 using Ticino's holidays lands on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. With the Switzerland calculator's holidays, the same calculation lands on Tuesday, January 6, 2026: the gap comes from Ticino's own calendar.

How to count Ticino business days

The Advanced options can add dates but not remove them, so a count that crosses Karfreitag (Good Friday) (Friday, April 3, 2026), a day in the Switzerland calculator's set but not in Ticino's calendar, will land one working day later than Ticino's own for each of those dates it crosses.
