How Valais differs from the national Swiss holidays
Valais is the most distinctive Swiss canton for working-day math. It does not observe four days that are holidays almost everywhere else: Vendredi saint (Good Friday), Lundi de Pâques (Easter Monday), Lundi de Pentecôte (Whit Monday) and Saint-Étienne (26 December) are all ordinary working days in Valais.
