How Vaud differs from the Switzerland calculator
Vaud's rows change this site's eight-day Swiss baseline in three places. They add the Lendemain du Nouvel An on 2 January and the Lundi du Jeûne fédéral, which falls on 21 September 2026, 20 September 2027 and 18 September 2028. They drop 26 December, so Saint-Étienne is not counted in Vaud. Easter Monday and Whit Monday stay in the count. So a Vaud count adds the January and September closures and leaves out 26 December.
Worked example
Adding 1 business day to Friday, September 18, 2026 using Vaud's holidays lands on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. With the Switzerland calculator's holidays, the same calculation lands on Monday, September 21, 2026: the gap comes from Vaud's own calendar.
