public holidays in July 2027
No Saudi public holidays fall on a weekday in July 2027, so the month loses no working day to a holiday on this calendar.
Saudi Arabia July deadlines
No Saudi holiday falls in July in any year of this calculator's data. A VAT return for a tax period that ended in June is filed, and the tax paid, by the last day of July: June's for a monthly filer, and the three months to June for a taxpayer whose three-month period closed then. Official working days run Sunday to Thursday under the royal order of 23 June 2013, with Friday and Saturday as the weekly holiday. July 31, 2027 is a Saturday. The return date does not move for that: the regulations require filing and payment on or before it whether or not it is a working day.

- Royal order of 23 June 2013: official working days Sunday to Thursday, weekly holiday Friday and Saturday, for ministries, financial institutions, SAMA, the CMA and the Saudi Stock Exchange (Saudi Press Agency)

Those dates in 2027
None of the dates named above falls on a working day in 2027 under the Saudi public calendar. A fixed calendar date advances by one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, so which side of the working week it lands on changes on a four-year cycle rather than staying put.

Saudi Arabia reporting cycles and business-day rules
A VAT return is filed, and the tax paid, by the last day of the month after each tax period, and ZATCA's Implementing Regulations of the VAT Law keep that date whether or not it is a working day; a Working Day, as they define it, is any day except Friday, Saturday and a state holiday. The period is monthly for a taxpayer whose taxable supplies exceeded SAR 40 million in the previous twelve months; three months is the standard period for all others, who may apply for a monthly one. A Zakat payer that keeps accounting books submits the Zakat return, and pays the Zakat, within 120 days of the end of the Zakat year, and a period that ends on an official holiday runs to the first working day after it (Implementing Regulations for Zakat Collection, article 102). The income-tax return is due within 120 days of the end of the tax year under article 60 of the Income Tax Law, as ZATCA quotes it. The royal order of 23 June 2013 made Friday and Saturday the weekly holiday in all ministries, government bodies and institutions, financial institutions, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, the Capital Market Authority and the Saudi Stock Exchange.

July 2027 working days compared by country
Working-day counts vary across countries because each country observes its own public holidays. The table below shows July 2027 under 11 of the site's 25 holiday calendars; the summary above gives Saudi Arabia's own count.

How July 2027 compares year over year
July 2026 had 22 working days, so July 2027 has 1 fewer working day year over year. On the surrounding months, June 2027 has 22 working days and August 2027 has 22. Looking forward, July 2028 has 21 working days under the same Saudi public holiday calendar.
Using this calculator in Saudi Arabia
Count the 21 business days of July 2027 on the Sunday-to-Thursday week. A royal order of 23 June 2013, as the Saudi Press Agency reported it, made those the official working days in all ministries, government bodies and institutions, financial institutions, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, the Capital Market Authority and the Saudi Stock Exchange. Tax dates are not counted in business days: a VAT return is filed, and the tax paid, by the last day of the month after the tax period, whether or not that date is a working day, while the 120 days for the Zakat return, if they end on an official holiday, run on to the first working day after it.

How July 2027 is shaped
The headline count answers how many working days July 2027 contains. It does not answer where they sit, and for anything measured in consecutive days rather than cumulative days that second question is the binding one. What follows is derived entirely from the Saudi public holiday calendar and a working week that treats Friday and Saturday as the weekend, with no assumption about how any particular obligation behaves.
A 31-day month opening the second half of the year
July runs 31 days and opens both Q3 and the second half of the calendar year. It shares its weekday alignment with April, so their internal structures match and any gap between their working-day counts is a holiday effect rather than a calendar one. Of the four quarter-opening months, July is the one most likely to sit inside a period of reduced staffing, which changes what its count means in practice even though the count itself is fixed by the calendar.
In July 2027 that comes to 21 working days across 31 calendar days, against 22 in June 2027 and 23 in August 2027.
The month opens on the last day of a working week
July 2027 starts on the final working day of a week. One working day stands between the 1st and the weekend, so the month's real momentum does not begin until the following week. This is the start that most compresses a monthly plan: the calendar has turned, but only one working day has passed before the first closure.
The month's first working day is Thursday, July 1, and July 2027 carries 21 working days in total.
Five working stretches
July splits into five working stretches. That is the ordinary shape of a month whose only interruptions are its weekends, and it means the month's internal boundaries are all predictable a year in advance: nothing here depends on a holiday date moving.
The working days of July 2027 arrive in stretches of 1, 5, 5, 5, and 5 days. The longest unbroken stretch runs five days, from July 4 to July 8. A task needing more consecutive working days than that cannot be completed inside a single stretch, whatever the month's total looks like.
The month is back-loaded. It opens with one consecutive day and closes with five, so the room is at the end rather than the start. That is the safer of the two imbalances, because a slip has somewhere to go, but it also makes the opening week a poor sample of the month.
Three weekdays occur five times
A 31-day month contains four full seven-day cycles and three days over, so exactly three weekdays occur five times and the other four occur four times. In July 2027 the three are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Which three it is follows entirely from the weekday the month opens on, which is why the working-day count of a 31-day month moves year to year even when its holidays do not.
Only Thursday among them is a working day, so part of the surplus is absorbed by the Friday and Saturday weekend and never reaches the working total. That split is why two months of the same length can carry different working-day counts without any holiday being involved.
A month with no closures
There is no Saudi public holiday in July 2027 at all. Because a month with no closure loses working days only to weekends, the count follows directly from the calendar: 31 days, 10 of them on the Friday and Saturday weekend, leaving 21 working days.
That makes July an unusually predictable month to plan against. Its working structure will be the same shape in any year that opens on the same weekday, and no holiday date can move it.
A long stretch with no closure at all
July 2027 sits inside an unusually long run without a Saudi public closure. Neither the month itself nor either edge of it carries one within a month, which means the working-day count here is set by the weekend pattern alone and will repeat exactly in any year with the same alignment.
Looking outside the month, the last was Eid al-Adha (day 3) on May 18, 2027, 44 calendar days before July began and the next is Saudi National Day on September 23, 2027, 54 calendar days after it ends.
Across the whole of 2027 the Saudi public calendar puts eight closures on working days, of which none falls in July. That ratio, rather than the raw count, is what tells you whether a month is carrying more than its share of the year's downtime.
The month ends over a weekend
July 2027 ends on a Saturday, which this calendar treats as weekend. Month-end processing cannot happen on the last calendar day, so it happens earlier and the last few dates of the month carry no settlement at all. The distance between the final working day and the final calendar day is where month-end reconciliations go missing.
The last working day of July 2027 is Thursday, July 29. Counting back from there, the third-to-last is Tuesday, July 27, four calendar days before the month closes.
The working month ends on the last working day of a week, so the final stretch is a complete one and nothing is left hanging mid-week. Two calendar days of July follow it with nothing settling on them.
The quarter opens here
July is the first month of Q3. An opening month sets the baseline the rest of the quarter is measured against, and it is the one month where a slip has two further months to be absorbed in. Quarterly targets divided evenly by three ignore the fact that the three months rarely carry equal working-day counts.
Across the whole quarter there are 65 working days, of which 21 fall in July. The other two months carry August 2027 with 23 and September 2027 with 21. It sits between the other two, which makes it the month where a quarterly plan is least likely to be thrown off by the calendar alone.
The week's first working day is the scarcest
The first working day of the week is the one July gives least often. Anything anchored to the start of the working week (a weekly kickoff, a Monday-morning cutoff, a start-of-week batch) fires fewer times this month than the calendar count suggests, because a closure has taken one of them out.
Counted as worked rather than as occurring, July 2027 gives Sunday 4, Monday 4, Tuesday 4, Wednesday 4, and Thursday 5. A weekly commitment pinned to a particular weekday fires that many times in the month, which is the number a rota needs and not the one the calendar shows.
Where the month sits in the year
July sits in the middle of 2027 by working-day count under the Saudi public calendar. The middle of that ranking is where a month's total is least informative on its own, because a mid-ranked month can be a long month carrying closures or a short one carrying none, and the two need different plans.
2027 carries 252 working days in total under the Saudi public calendar. The longest month of the year is August 2027 with 23 and the shortest is May 2027 with 19, a spread of 4. July ranks 7th of the twelve with 21.
Inside the year's longest clear run
July 2027 sits inside the longest stretch of 2027 with no Saudi public closure in it. Where a month falls relative to its country's closure clusters changes what the same working-day count is worth: an uninterrupted month inside a long clear run behaves differently from one of equal length wedged between two closures.
Across 2027 the Saudi public closures fall 4 in Q1, 3 in Q2, 1 in Q3, and 0 in Q4. A further two holidays land on the Friday and Saturday weekend and cost no working day at all, which is why a country's holiday count and its working-day loss are different numbers.
The longest uninterrupted run in the 2027 calendar sits between May 18, 2027 and September 23, 2027, 128 calendar days with no Saudi public closure in between. Stretches like that are where multi-week work belongs, and they move from year to year whenever a movable holiday does.
Where the month sits in the year's closure pattern
Closures are not spread evenly across a calendar year. They cluster around fixed anniversaries and around whichever lunar or movable feasts a jurisdiction observes, so two adjacent months can carry very different loads, and the Saudi public calendar is no exception.
2027 opens its Saudi public closures with Founding Day on February 22, 2027 and ends them with Saudi National Day on September 23, 2027. The densest month of the year is March 2027 with three closures on working days.
One working day fewer than last year
July 2027 has one working day fewer than July 2026: 21 against 22. On a monthly target that is roughly 5% less working time for the same calendar period, which is the size of gap that shows up as an unexplained miss rather than as a known constraint.
July opens 2026 on a Wednesday, 2027 on a Thursday, and 2028 on a Saturday. That movement, one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, is what makes the three counts differ. The number of closures on working days is the same in both years, so the whole of any difference comes from weekday alignment. Looking ahead, July 2028 carries 22 working days.
Where the month's anchor dates fall
Two of the common monthly anchor dates in July 2027 land outside the working week or on a closure. The table below resolves each one against the Saudi public calendar, together with the first working day on or after it.
| Date | Weekday | Status under the Saudi public calendar | First working day on or after |
|---|---|---|---|
| July 1 | Thursday | Working day | July 1 |
| July 5 | Monday | Working day | July 5 |
| July 10 | Saturday | Weekend | July 11, 2027 |
| July 15 | Thursday | Working day | July 15 |
| July 20 | Tuesday | Working day | July 20 |
| July 25 | Sunday | Working day | July 25 |
| July 31 | Saturday | Weekend | August 1, 2027 |
The final column is arithmetic, not a legal conclusion. Whether an obligation actually moves when its date is not a working day depends on the instrument that sets it, and this site does not assume a shift rule for any jurisdiction. Where a rule is known it is stated in the holiday data methodology and on the country page it applies to.
Net terms dated in July 2027
An invoice dated the 1st of July on calendar-day Net 30 terms comes due on July 31, 2027, which is not a working day under the Saudi public calendar. A term counted in calendar days can land anywhere in the week, and roughly two days in seven it lands somewhere nothing settles, which is the ordinary reason a payment shows as late by a day or two without anyone being late.
| Invoice date | Net 30, calendar days | Net 60, calendar days |
|---|---|---|
| Dated July 1 | July 31, 2027 (rolls to August 1, 2027) | August 30, 2027 |
| Dated July 15 | August 14, 2027 (rolls to August 15, 2027) | September 13, 2027 |
| Dated July 31 | August 30, 2027 | September 29, 2027 |
Net 30 and Net 60 are commercial conventions rather than statutory periods, and both are counted here in calendar days, which is how they are almost always written. Where a contract counts in working days instead, use the between-dates calculator with the Saudi Arabia calendar selected, because the two produce different dates whenever a closure falls inside the term.
