días festivos in July 2027

No Spain-wide holidays fall on a weekday in July 2027, so the month loses no working day to a holiday on this calendar.

Spain July deadlines

July is the heaviest month in the Spanish corporate calendar. Modelo 303 and Modelo 130 for Q2 both close in the first twenty calendar days. Modelo 200, the Impuesto sobre Sociedades return, follows a period rather than a date: Article 124.1 of the Ley 27/2014 gives 25 calendar days after the six months following the end of the tax year, which for a calendar-year entity falls in the last week of July and moves to the next business day when it lands on a weekend.

Spain reporting cycles and business-day rules

Each provision cited here sets a filing window, not a single date. Article 71.4 of the Reglamento del IVA puts the quarterly VAT return (Modelo 303) in the first twenty días naturales (calendar days) of the month after the quarter, the return for the last period of the year in the first thirty of January, and a monthly return in the first thirty of the following month, or by the last day of February for January. Article 111.1 of the Reglamento del IRPF puts the pagos fraccionados (Modelos 130 and 131) between the 1st and the 20th of April, July and October, and the fourth quarter's between the 1st and the 30th of January. Under Article 108.1, withholdings (Modelo 111 among the returns) are declared in the first twenty días naturales of April, July, October and January, and in the first twenty of every month where numbers 1 and 2 of Article 71.3 of the Reglamento del IVA apply or where, for the income the article names, the withholder is a public administration whose last approved annual budget exceeds 6 million euros. Article 124.1 of Ley 27/2014 puts the Impuesto sobre Sociedades return (Modelo 200) in the 25 días naturales that follow the six months after the end of the tax period. The AEAT's 2026 taxpayer calendar says that a deadline which falls on a local or regional holiday ends on the next día hábil, except Modelo 369; the AEAT page on the Modelo 303 filing period adds that Saturday is inhábil and that a last filing day which is inhábil moves to the next día hábil.

How July 2027 compares year over year

July 2026 had 23 días laborables, so July 2027 has 1 fewer working day year over year. On the surrounding months, June 2027 has 22 días laborables and August 2027 has 22. Looking forward, July 2028 has 21 días laborables under the same Spain-wide holiday calendar.

Using this calculator in Spain

The 22 business days of July 2027 are its Monday-to-Friday days less the days of the calculator's Spain set, the days that are a holiday in all seventeen comunidades autónomas, in Ceuta and in Melilla; a holiday missing from any of those territories is not in the set. The count measures the days the month offers for preparing a return, not where a filing window ends: Article 124.1 of Ley 27/2014, for one, sets the window for the Impuesto sobre Sociedades return (Modelo 200) in días naturales (calendar days), the 25 that follow the six months after the end of the tax period. A window's end can also move: the AEAT's 2026 taxpayer calendar says that a deadline which falls on a local or regional holiday ends on the next día hábil, except Modelo 369, whose filing period does not move.

How July 2027 is shaped

The headline count answers how many días laborables July 2027 contains. It does not answer where they sit, and for anything measured in consecutive days rather than cumulative days that second question is the binding one. What follows is derived entirely from the Spain-wide holiday calendar and a working week that treats sábado and domingo as the weekend, with no assumption about how any particular obligation behaves.

A 31-day month opening the second half of the year

July runs 31 days and opens both Q3 and the second half of the calendar year. It shares its weekday alignment with April, so their internal structures match and any gap between their working-day counts is a holiday effect rather than a calendar one. Of the four quarter-opening months, July is the one most likely to sit inside a period of reduced staffing, which changes what its count means in practice even though the count itself is fixed by the calendar.

In July 2027 that comes to 22 días laborables across 31 calendar days, against 22 in June 2027 and 22 in August 2027.

A late-week start

The month opens on the fourth working day of the week, which leaves only a short tail before the first weekend. The practical consequence is that the month's first genuinely full working week does not begin on the 1st at all. Anything scoped as "we have the first week to do this" has materially less time than the phrase suggests, and the shortfall is visible in the opening run below.

The opening stretch runs from Thursday, July 1 to July 2, two días laborables before the first break. July 2027 carries 22 días laborables in total, so that opening block is 9% of the month's working capacity.

Five working stretches

July splits into five working stretches. That is the ordinary shape of a month whose only interruptions are its weekends, and it means the month's internal boundaries are all predictable a year in advance: nothing here depends on a holiday date moving.

The working days of July 2027 arrive in stretches of 2, 5, 5, 5, and 5 days. The longest unbroken stretch runs five days, from July 5 to July 9. A task needing more consecutive días laborables than that cannot be completed inside a single stretch, whatever the month's total looks like.

The month is back-loaded. It opens with two consecutive days and closes with five, so the room is at the end rather than the start. That is the safer of the two imbalances, because a slip has somewhere to go, but it also makes the opening week a poor sample of the month.

Three weekdays occur five times

A 31-day month contains four full seven-day cycles and three days over, so exactly three weekdays occur five times and the other four occur four times. In July 2027 the three are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Which three it is follows entirely from the weekday the month opens on, which is why the working-day count of a 31-day month moves year to year even when its holidays do not.

Only Thursday and Friday among them are working days, so part of the surplus is absorbed by the sábado and domingo weekend and never reaches the working total. That split is why two months of the same length can carry different working-day counts without any holiday being involved.

A month with no closures, and a long one

July 2027 contains no Spain-wide holiday on any date, working or otherwise. A month with no closure loses working days only to weekends, so its count is set entirely by the weekday it opens on and its length, and here both work in the month's favour: 22 días laborables across 31 calendar days.

Months at this end of the range are the ones worth reserving for work that needs consecutive days rather than cumulative days. The constraint that usually breaks a long run, a closure landing mid-week, is absent, so the month's structure is entirely weekend-driven and repeats on a seven-day cycle.

A long stretch with no closure at all

July 2027 sits inside an unusually long run without a Spain-wide closure. Neither the month itself nor either edge of it carries one within a month, which means the working-day count here is set by the weekend pattern alone and will repeat exactly in any year with the same alignment.

Looking outside the month, the last was Viernes Santo on March 26, 2027, 97 calendar days before July began and the next is Fiesta Nacional de España on October 12, 2027, 73 calendar days after it ends.

Across the whole of 2027 the Spain-wide calendar puts seven closures on working days, of which none falls in July. That ratio, rather than the raw count, is what tells you whether a month is carrying more than its share of the year's downtime.

The month ends over a weekend

July 2027 ends on a Saturday, which this calendar treats as weekend. Month-end processing cannot happen on the last calendar day, so it happens earlier and the last few dates of the month carry no settlement at all. The distance between the final working day and the final calendar day is where month-end reconciliations go missing.

The last working day of July 2027 is Friday, July 30. Counting back from there, the third-to-last is Wednesday, July 28, three calendar days before the month closes.

The working month ends on the last working day of a week, so the final stretch is a complete one and nothing is left hanging mid-week. One calendar day of July follows it with nothing settling on it.

The quarter opens here

July is the first month of Q3. An opening month sets the baseline the rest of the quarter is measured against, and it is the one month where a slip has two further months to be absorbed in. Quarterly targets divided evenly by three ignore the fact that the three months rarely carry equal working-day counts.

Across the whole quarter there are 66 días laborables, of which 22 fall in July. The other two months carry August 2027 with 22 and September 2027 with 22. All three months of the quarter carry the same working-day count, which happens when their weekday alignments and closures cancel out exactly.

The week's first working day is the scarcest

The first working day of the week is the one July gives least often. Anything anchored to the start of the working week (a weekly kickoff, a Monday-morning cutoff, a start-of-week batch) fires fewer times this month than the calendar count suggests, because a closure has taken one of them out.

Counted as worked rather than as occurring, July 2027 gives Monday 4, Tuesday 4, Wednesday 4, Thursday 5, and Friday 5. A weekly commitment pinned to a particular weekday fires that many times in the month, which is the number a rota needs and not the one the calendar shows.

Toward the long end of the year

July sits among the longer working months of 2027 under the Spain-wide calendar. Where a month falls in that ranking is decided by two independent things, its calendar length and how many closures land on its working days, so a month can move several places between adjacent years without its length changing at all.

2027 carries 254 días laborables in total under the Spain-wide calendar. The longest month of the year is March 2027 with 22 and the shortest is January 2027 with 19, a spread of 3. July ranks 4th of the twelve with 22.

Inside the year's longest clear run

July 2027 sits inside the longest stretch of 2027 with no Spain-wide closure in it. Where a month falls relative to its country's closure clusters changes what the same working-day count is worth: an uninterrupted month inside a long clear run behaves differently from one of equal length wedged between two closures.

Across 2027 the Spain-wide closures fall 3 in Q1, 0 in Q2, 0 in Q3, and 4 in Q4. A further three holidays land on the sábado and domingo weekend and cost no working day at all, which is why a country's holiday count and its working-day loss are different numbers.

The longest uninterrupted run in the 2027 calendar sits between March 26, 2027 and October 12, 2027, 200 calendar days with no Spain-wide closure in between. Stretches like that are where multi-week work belongs, and they move from year to year whenever a movable holiday does.

Where the month sits in the year's closure pattern

Closures are not spread evenly across a calendar year. They cluster around fixed anniversaries and around whichever lunar or movable feasts a jurisdiction observes, so two adjacent months can carry very different loads, and the Spain-wide calendar is no exception.

2027 opens its Spain-wide closures with Año Nuevo on January 1, 2027 and ends them with Inmaculada Concepción on December 8, 2027. The densest month of the year is January 2027 with two closures on working days.

One working day fewer than last year

July 2027 has one días laborable fewer than July 2026: 22 against 23. On a monthly target that is roughly 4% less working time for the same calendar period, which is the size of gap that shows up as an unexplained miss rather than as a known constraint.

July opens 2026 on a Wednesday, 2027 on a Thursday, and 2028 on a Saturday. That movement, one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, is what makes the three counts differ. The number of closures on working days is the same in both years, so the whole of any difference comes from weekday alignment. Looking ahead, July 2028 carries 21 días laborables.

Anchor dates that do not fall on working days

Three of the common monthly anchor dates in July 2027 land on a day this calendar does not work. A month with this many blocked anchors pushes several cycles onto the same few dates, because each of them resolves forward to the next available working day and those tend to be shared.

The final column is arithmetic, not a legal conclusion. Whether an obligation actually moves when its date is not a working day depends on the instrument that sets it, and this site does not assume a shift rule for any jurisdiction. Where a rule is known it is stated in the holiday data methodology and on the country page it applies to.

Net terms dated in July 2027

An invoice dated the 1st of July on calendar-day Net 30 terms comes due on July 31, 2027, which is not a working day under the Spain-wide calendar. A term counted in calendar days can land anywhere in the week, and roughly two days in seven it lands somewhere nothing settles, which is the ordinary reason a payment shows as late by a day or two without anyone being late.

Net 30 and Net 60 are commercial conventions rather than statutory periods, and both are counted here in calendar days, which is how they are almost always written. Where a contract counts in working days instead, use the between-dates calculator with the Spain calendar selected, because the two produce different dates whenever a closure falls inside the term.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many business days are in July 2027 under the Spain-wide holiday calendar?
July 2027 has 22 días laborables under the Spain-wide holiday calendar. The month spans 31 calendar days, of which 9 fall on a weekend and 0 are Spain-wide holidays that land on a weekday. The remaining 22 weekdays are countable as días laborables for invoicing, deadline tracking, and contract math.
Which Spain holidays affect July 2027?
July 2027 contains no Spain-wide holidays that fall on a weekday, so on this calculator's holiday set the month loses no working day.
Why does the Spanish calendar vary year-to-year?
Part of the calendar is each comunidad autónoma's choice. Article 37.2 of the Estatuto de los Trabajadores allows no more than fourteen fiestas laborales a year, two of them local, and lets a community add one more, recoverable, in a year when too few national holidays fall on a Sunday for it to set one of its traditional holidays. It names four national days to be respected in any case: the Natividad del Señor, Año Nuevo, 1 May and 12 October. Article 45.1 of Real Decreto 2001/1983 lists the national days, and nine of them, those four included, cannot be replaced (letters a to c). The letter d days, Jueves Santo, the Epifanía del Señor and San José or Santiago Apóstol, a community may replace with traditional holidays of its own, as it may the Monday rest that follows a national holiday on a Sunday (article 45.3). The communities send their lists to the ministry before 30 September (article 45.4), and the lists for 2024 to 2027 were published in the BOE as resolutions of the Dirección General de Trabajo, each counting twelve days under these rules. Article 46 adds up to two local holidays a year in each municipality. The calculator's set holds only the days that are a holiday in all seventeen comunidades autónomas, in Ceuta and in Melilla; add a regional or local date under Advanced options.
What happens when a Spanish national holiday falls on a Sunday?
The rest day moves to the Monday. Article 37.2 of the Estatuto de los Trabajadores says the rest for a holiday that coincides with a Sunday is moved "en todo caso", in every case, to the Monday immediately after, and article 45.2 of Real Decreto 2001/1983 repeats it for the national holidays. Each comunidad autónoma may replace that Monday with a traditional holiday of its own (article 45.3), so whether the Monday is a holiday depends on the territory: the list the BOE publishes for the year marks it territory by territory. Those Mondays are not in the calculator's set, which keeps the holiday on its own date; if your territory keeps the Monday, add it under Advanced options.
Why does the business-day count vary year to year?
Two things shift the monthly count for Spain. First, the day of the week the first of the month lands on changes the count of each weekday. Second, Spain-wide holidays anchored to a fixed date shift their weekday across years. Some years a fixed-date holiday lands on a weekend; some countries shift the observance to an adjacent weekday and some absorb it into the weekend. July 2026 had 23 días laborables, so July 2027 has 1 fewer working day year over year.
When is the last working day of July 2027?
The last working day of July 2027 under the Spain-wide calendar is Friday, July 30. The month's last calendar day is Saturday, July 31, which is not a working day, so month-end processing has to happen one calendar day earlier than the calendar suggests. Counting back, the third-to-last working day is Wednesday, July 28.
How many working days in a row does July 2027 offer?
July 2027 has 22 días laborables in total, but they do not run consecutively. They arrive in five stretches of 2, 5, 5, 5, and 5 days, so the longest unbroken run is five days, from July 5 to July 9. No working day in the month is isolated between two closures.
