Germany June deadlines
The Lohnsteuer-Anmeldung for May is due on 10 June, and the second Einkommensteuer instalment falls on the same date under § 37 Abs. 1 EStG. June is the statutory preparation deadline for a company whose financial year ended on 31 March, because § 264 Abs. 1 HGB allows three months to draw up the Jahresabschluss and six for a small Kapitalgesellschaft. Publication is a separate and far later deadline: § 325 Abs. 1a HGB sets it at no later than one year after the balance-sheet date, and § 325 Abs. 4 HGB shortens it to four months for a kapitalmarktorientierte Kapitalgesellschaft.

Germany reporting cycles and business-day rules
German business-day cycles run on a few fixed statutory anchors. The Lohnsteuer-Anmeldung is due on the tenth day after each Anmeldungszeitraum under § 41a Abs. 1 EStG, and § 18 Abs. 1 UStG puts the Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung on that same tenth day, with the calendar quarter as the default period and the calendar month compulsory once the previous year's tax passed 9,000 euros under § 18 Abs. 2 UStG. Sozialversicherungsbeiträge fall on the third-to-last Bankarbeitstag of the month under § 23 Abs. 1 SGB IV. Einkommensteuer instalments fall on 10 March, 10 June, 10 September and 10 December under § 37 Abs. 1 EStG, and § 31 Abs. 1 KStG carries the same treatment into Körperschaftsteuer. Where any of these lands on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, § 108 Abs. 3 AO shifts tax deadlines and § 193 BGB shifts civil-law deadlines to the next Werktag, which is the shift this calculator's Arbeitstage count implements.

How June 2027 compares year over year
June 2026 also had 22 arbeitstage, so the working capacity is unchanged year over year. On the surrounding months, May 2027 has 19 Arbeitstage and July 2027 has 22. Looking forward, June 2028 has 21 Arbeitstage under the same German federal holiday calendar.
Using this calculator in Germany
A Munich Mittelstand controller uses the 22-day June 2027 count to line up the Lohnsteuer-Anmeldung, due on the tenth day after each Anmeldungszeitraum under § 41a Abs. 1 EStG, with the Sozialversicherung due date on the third-to-last Bankarbeitstag under § 23 Abs. 1 SGB IV. A Hamburg logistics firm counts Arbeitstage to place Skonto windows, where § 271 BGB governs when performance falls due and § 193 BGB moves a deadline landing on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday to the next Werktag. A Frankfurt finance team uses the same count for the Umsatzsteuer-Voranmeldung, which § 18 Abs. 1 UStG also places on the tenth day after the period ends.

How June 2027 is shaped
The headline count answers how many Arbeitstage June 2027 contains. It does not answer where they sit, and for anything measured in consecutive days rather than cumulative days that second question is the binding one. What follows is derived entirely from the German federal holiday calendar and a working week that treats Samstag and Sonntag as the weekend, with no assumption about how any particular obligation behaves.
The month that closes the first half of the year
June runs 30 days, closes Q2 and closes the first half of the calendar year, so its last working day carries three boundaries at once: month, quarter and half-year. It is one of only two months that can do that. June and February also share a weekday alignment in a common year, which means a June calendar is the February calendar extended by two days.
In June 2027 that comes to 22 Arbeitstage across 30 calendar days, against 19 in May 2027 and 22 in July 2027.
A start one day into the week
The 1st falls on the second working day of the week, so June inherits a part-week at the top. One working day of that week was spent in the previous month, which is why a month opening here reads short at the beginning and long at the end. Reporting cut on calendar weeks and reporting cut on the calendar month disagree about where the period starts, and the gap is exactly one working day.
The opening stretch runs from Tuesday, June 1 to June 4, four Arbeitstage before the first break. June 2027 carries 22 Arbeitstage in total, so that opening block is 18% of the month's working capacity.
Five working stretches
June splits into five working stretches. That is the ordinary shape of a month whose only interruptions are its weekends, and it means the month's internal boundaries are all predictable a year in advance: nothing here depends on a holiday date moving.
The working days of June 2027 arrive in stretches of 4, 5, 5, 5, and 3 days. The longest unbroken stretch runs five days, from June 7 to June 11. A task needing more consecutive Arbeitstage than that cannot be completed inside a single stretch, whatever the month's total looks like.
The month is front-loaded. It opens with four consecutive days and closes with three, so capacity thins toward the end. Work deferred out of the first stretch arrives in a shorter one, which is how a schedule that looked comfortable in week one stops fitting.
Two weekdays occur five times
Thirty days is four seven-day cycles plus two, so a 30-day month has exactly two weekdays occurring five times and five occurring four times. Here they are Tuesday and Wednesday. The pair is always consecutive, because the surplus days are the first two of the month repeated at its end.
All of them are working days here, so the surplus lands entirely on the working week: Tuesday and Wednesday each occur 5 times. Had the surplus fallen on the weekend instead, the same month would carry 20 Arbeitstage rather than 22.
A month with no closures, and a long one
June 2027 contains no German federal holiday on any date, working or otherwise. A month with no closure loses working days only to weekends, so its count is set entirely by the weekday it opens on and its length, and here both work in the month's favour: 22 Arbeitstage across 30 calendar days.
Months at this end of the range are the ones worth reserving for work that needs consecutive days rather than cumulative days. The constraint that usually breaks a long run, a closure landing mid-week, is absent, so the month's structure is entirely weekend-driven and repeats on a seven-day cycle.
The closures on either side of the month
Nothing closes inside June 2027 under the German federal calendar, so the useful question is what sits on either side of it. Adjacent closures matter to a monthly plan because deadlines that fall near a month boundary are usually satisfied on the other side of it.
Looking outside the month, the last was Pfingstmontag on May 17, 2027, 15 calendar days before June began and the next is Karfreitag on April 14, 2028, 289 calendar days after it ends.
Across the whole of 2027 the German federal calendar puts five closures on working days, of which none falls in June. That ratio, rather than the raw count, is what tells you whether a month is carrying more than its share of the year's downtime.
A midweek close
The month ends in the middle of a working week. Two working days of the final calendar week fall in June and the remainder in the month after, which makes the closing week a partial period on both sides. A midweek close is the pattern most likely to push month-end tasks into the following month by default, simply because the week continues past the boundary.
The last working day of June 2027 is Wednesday, June 30. Counting back from there, the third-to-last is Monday, June 28, two calendar days before the month closes.
The quarter closes here
June closes Q2, so the quarter's last working day and this month's last working day are the same date. Everything the quarter has deferred arrives inside these 22 Arbeitstage, and there is no further month in the period to move it into.
Across the whole quarter there are 63 Arbeitstage, of which 22 fall in June. The other two months carry April 2027 with 22 and May 2027 with 19. It sits between the other two, which makes it the month where a quarterly plan is least likely to be thrown off by the calendar alone.
The week's first working day is the scarcest
The first working day of the week is the one June gives least often. Anything anchored to the start of the working week (a weekly kickoff, a Monday-morning cutoff, a start-of-week batch) fires fewer times this month than the calendar count suggests, because a closure has taken one of them out.
Counted as worked rather than as occurring, June 2027 gives Monday 4, Tuesday 5, Wednesday 5, Thursday 4, and Friday 4. A weekly commitment pinned to a particular weekday fires that many times in the month, which is the number a rota needs and not the one the calendar shows.
Toward the long end of the year
June sits among the longer working months of 2027 under the German federal calendar. Where a month falls in that ranking is decided by two independent things, its calendar length and how many closures land on its working days, so a month can move several places between adjacent years without its length changing at all.
2027 carries 256 Arbeitstage in total under the German federal calendar. The longest month of the year is December 2027 with 23 and the shortest is May 2027 with 19, a spread of 4. June ranks 3rd of the twelve with 22.
Germany closures across the year
A month's working-day count only means something against the country's whole calendar. Two countries that share a weekend and happen to have the same closure-free month can still run very different years, and Germany is placed as follows.
Across 2027 the German federal closures fall 3 in Q1, 2 in Q2, 0 in Q3, and 0 in Q4. A further four holidays land on the Samstag and Sonntag weekend and cost no working day at all, which is why a country's holiday count and its working-day loss are different numbers.
The longest uninterrupted run in the 2027 calendar sits between January 1, 2027 and March 26, 2027, 84 calendar days with no German federal closure in between. Stretches like that are where multi-week work belongs, and they move from year to year whenever a movable holiday does.
After the year's last closure
June 2027 falls after the last German federal closure of the year, so nothing further in 2027 reduces a working-day count. Where a deadline runs from this month into the next year, the closures that can move it all belong to the following year's calendar rather than this one.
2027 opens its German federal closures with Neujahrstag on January 1, 2027 and ends them with Pfingstmontag on May 17, 2027. The densest month of the year is March 2027 with two closures on working days.
The same count as last year
June 2027 and June 2026 carry the same number of Arbeitstage, 22 in each. An unchanged total does not mean an unchanged month: the working days sit on different dates and break into different stretches, so a schedule copied forward date by date will not line up even though the capacity has not moved.
June opens 2026 on a Monday, 2027 on a Tuesday, and 2028 on a Thursday. That movement, one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, is what makes the three counts differ. The number of closures on working days is the same in both years, so the whole of any difference comes from weekday alignment. Looking ahead, June 2028 carries 21 Arbeitstage.
Where the month's anchor dates fall
Two of the common monthly anchor dates in June 2027 land outside the working week or on a closure. The table below resolves each one against the German federal calendar, together with the first working day on or after it.
| Date | Weekday | Status under the German federal calendar | First working day on or after |
|---|---|---|---|
| June 1 | Tuesday | Working day | June 1 |
| June 5 | Saturday | Weekend | June 7, 2027 |
| June 10 | Thursday | Working day | June 10 |
| June 15 | Tuesday | Working day | June 15 |
| June 20 | Sunday | Weekend | June 21, 2027 |
| June 25 | Friday | Working day | June 25 |
| June 30 | Wednesday | Working day | June 30 |
The final column is arithmetic, not a legal conclusion. Whether an obligation actually moves when its date is not a working day depends on the instrument that sets it, and this site does not assume a shift rule for any jurisdiction. Where a rule is known it is stated in the holiday data methodology and on the country page it applies to.
Net terms dated in June 2027
An invoice dated the 1st of June on calendar-day Net 30 terms comes due on July 1, 2027, a working day under the German federal calendar. Terms counted in calendar days move independently of the working week, so the same term written on two consecutive months can settle cleanly in one and roll across a closure in the other.
| Invoice date | Net 30, calendar days | Net 60, calendar days |
|---|---|---|
| Dated June 1 | July 1, 2027 | July 31, 2027 (rolls to August 2, 2027) |
| Dated June 15 | July 15, 2027 | August 14, 2027 (rolls to August 16, 2027) |
| Dated June 30 | July 30, 2027 | August 29, 2027 (rolls to August 30, 2027) |
Net 30 and Net 60 are commercial conventions rather than statutory periods, and both are counted here in calendar days, which is how they are almost always written. Where a contract counts in working days instead, use the between-dates calculator with the Germany calendar selected, because the two produce different dates whenever a closure falls inside the term.
