Business Days in June 2027 for Canada

June 2027 has 22 business days under the Canadian federal holiday calendar. June 2027 contains no Canadian federal holidays on a weekday. The month covers 30 calendar days, of which 8 are Saturday and Sunday. That count drives invoice cycles, payroll runs, and any contract that defines deadlines as a number of business days in Canada.

statutory holidays in June 2027

No Canadian federal holidays fall on a weekday in June 2027, so the month loses no working day to a holiday on this calendar.

Canada June deadlines

June 15 carries two dates under the Income Tax Act. Section 150(1)(d)(ii) puts the return of an individual who carried on a business in the previous year, or whose cohabiting spouse or common-law partner did, on or before June 15, and section 156(1) puts the second of the year's four individual instalments on or before the same day. A corporation that pays quarterly under section 157(1.1) pays on or before the last day of each three-month period of its tax year, which is June 30 for the second period of a calendar tax year. When a due date falls on a Saturday, a Sunday or a public holiday recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), the CRA treats a payment as on time if it receives it on or before the next business day. None of the ten general holidays that section 166 of the Canada Labour Code lists falls in June. The CRA's list of public holidays for 2026 names Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day, June 24, for Quebec only; it is not among the ten and is not in this calculator's federal data. The Canada calculator page links a page for each province and territory, Quebec among them, and each of those counts its own list.

Those dates in 2027

Every date named above falls on a working day in 2027 under the Canadian federal calendar. That is worth checking rather than assuming: the same calendar date moves through the week from year to year, so a date that settles cleanly this year may not next year.

Canada reporting cycles and business-day rules

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) says a remitter type sets how often payroll deductions are remitted and affects the due dates. A regular remitter's due date is the 15th day of the next month. An accelerated Threshold 1 remitter remits up to twice a month: for the 1st to the 15th by the 25th day of the same month, and for the 16th to the end of the month by the 10th day of the next month. An accelerated Threshold 2 remitter remits up to four times a month, by the 3rd working day after the 7th, the 14th, the 21st and the last day of the month. A quarterly remitter's due dates are April 15, July 15, October 15 and January 15. When a due date falls on a Saturday, a Sunday or a public holiday recognized by the CRA, the payment is on time if the CRA receives it, or it is processed at a Canadian financial institution, on or before the next business day. The Toronto Stock Exchange publishes its own list of market closures. Its lists for 2025 and 2026 close the markets on Family Day and the Civic Holiday, which are not among the ten general holidays of section 166 of the Canada Labour Code, and do not list Remembrance Day or the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which are.

June 2027 business days compared by country

Working-day counts vary across countries because each country observes its own public holidays. The table below shows June 2027 under 11 of the site's 25 holiday calendars; the summary above gives Canada's own count.

How June 2027 compares year over year

June 2026 also had 22 business days, so the working capacity is unchanged year over year. On the surrounding months, May 2027 has 20 business days and July 2027 has 21. Looking forward, June 2028 has 22 business days under the same Canadian federal holiday calendar.

Using this calculator in Canada

The 22-day count for June 2027 is Monday to Friday less the weekday dates this site's data lists for the ten general holidays that section 166 of the Canada Labour Code lists. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) states an accelerated Threshold 2 remitter's payroll remittance due dates in working days: the 3rd working day after the 7th, the 14th, the 21st and the last day of the month. For its due dates the CRA recognizes its own list of public holidays. The CRA's list of public holidays includes Easter Monday and a Civic Holiday, neither of which is among the Code's ten general holidays, so this calculator's federal list is not the CRA's list.

How June 2027 is shaped

The headline count answers how many business days June 2027 contains. It does not answer where they sit, and for anything measured in consecutive days rather than cumulative days that second question is the binding one. What follows is derived entirely from the Canadian federal holiday calendar and a working week that treats Saturday and Sunday as the weekend, with no assumption about how any particular obligation behaves.

The month that closes the first half of the year

June runs 30 days, closes Q2 and closes the first half of the calendar year, so its last working day carries three boundaries at once: month, quarter and half-year. It is one of only two months that can do that. June and February also share a weekday alignment in a common year, which means a June calendar is the February calendar extended by two days.

In June 2027 that comes to 22 business days across 30 calendar days, against 20 in May 2027 and 21 in July 2027.

A start one day into the week

The 1st falls on the second working day of the week, so June inherits a part-week at the top. One working day of that week was spent in the previous month, which is why a month opening here reads short at the beginning and long at the end. Reporting cut on calendar weeks and reporting cut on the calendar month disagree about where the period starts, and the gap is exactly one working day.

The opening stretch runs from Tuesday, June 1 to June 4, four business days before the first break. June 2027 carries 22 business days in total, so that opening block is 18% of the month's working capacity.

Five working stretches

June splits into five working stretches. That is the ordinary shape of a month whose only interruptions are its weekends, and it means the month's internal boundaries are all predictable a year in advance: nothing here depends on a holiday date moving.

The working days of June 2027 arrive in stretches of 4, 5, 5, 5, and 3 days. The longest unbroken stretch runs five days, from June 7 to June 11. A task needing more consecutive business days than that cannot be completed inside a single stretch, whatever the month's total looks like.

The month is front-loaded. It opens with four consecutive days and closes with three, so capacity thins toward the end. Work deferred out of the first stretch arrives in a shorter one, which is how a schedule that looked comfortable in week one stops fitting.

Two weekdays occur five times

Thirty days is four seven-day cycles plus two, so a 30-day month has exactly two weekdays occurring five times and five occurring four times. Here they are Tuesday and Wednesday. The pair is always consecutive, because the surplus days are the first two of the month repeated at its end.

All of them are working days here, so the surplus lands entirely on the working week: Tuesday and Wednesday each occur 5 times. Had the surplus fallen on the weekend instead, the same month would carry 20 business days rather than 22.

A month with no closures, and a long one

June 2027 contains no Canadian federal holiday on any date, working or otherwise. A month with no closure loses working days only to weekends, so its count is set entirely by the weekday it opens on and its length, and here both work in the month's favour: 22 business days across 30 calendar days.

Months at this end of the range are the ones worth reserving for work that needs consecutive days rather than cumulative days. The constraint that usually breaks a long run, a closure landing mid-week, is absent, so the month's structure is entirely weekend-driven and repeats on a seven-day cycle.

A closure sits just outside the month

June 2027 contains no Canadian federal closure of its own, but one sits within a week of its edge. A closure just outside a month still reaches into it: work displaced from the closed day lands on the working days beside it, and those are inside June whichever side the holiday falls on.

Looking outside the month, the last was Victoria Day on May 24, 2027, 8 calendar days before June began and the next is Canada Day on July 1, 2027, 1 calendar day after it ends.

Across the whole of 2027 the Canadian federal calendar puts ten closures on working days, of which none falls in June. That ratio, rather than the raw count, is what tells you whether a month is carrying more than its share of the year's downtime.

A midweek close

The month ends in the middle of a working week. Two working days of the final calendar week fall in June and the remainder in the month after, which makes the closing week a partial period on both sides. A midweek close is the pattern most likely to push month-end tasks into the following month by default, simply because the week continues past the boundary.

The last working day of June 2027 is Wednesday, June 30. Counting back from there, the third-to-last is Monday, June 28, two calendar days before the month closes.

The quarter closes here

June closes Q2, so the quarter's last working day and this month's last working day are the same date. Everything the quarter has deferred arrives inside these 22 business days, and there is no further month in the period to move it into.

Across the whole quarter there are 64 business days, of which 22 fall in June. The other two months carry April 2027 with 22 and May 2027 with 20. It sits between the other two, which makes it the month where a quarterly plan is least likely to be thrown off by the calendar alone.

The week's first working day is the scarcest

The first working day of the week is the one June gives least often. Anything anchored to the start of the working week (a weekly kickoff, a Monday-morning cutoff, a start-of-week batch) fires fewer times this month than the calendar count suggests, because a closure has taken one of them out.

Counted as worked rather than as occurring, June 2027 gives Monday 4, Tuesday 5, Wednesday 5, Thursday 4, and Friday 4. A weekly commitment pinned to a particular weekday fires that many times in the month, which is the number a rota needs and not the one the calendar shows.

Toward the long end of the year

June sits among the longer working months of 2027 under the Canadian federal calendar. Where a month falls in that ranking is decided by two independent things, its calendar length and how many closures land on its working days, so a month can move several places between adjacent years without its length changing at all.

2027 carries 251 business days in total under the Canadian federal calendar. The longest month of the year is March 2027 with 22 and the shortest is October 2027 with 20, a spread of 2. June ranks 3rd of the twelve with 22.

Canada closures across the year

A month's working-day count only means something against the country's whole calendar. Two countries that share a weekend and happen to have the same closure-free month can still run very different years, and Canada is placed as follows.

Across 2027 the Canadian federal closures fall 2 in Q1, 1 in Q2, 3 in Q3, and 4 in Q4. Every holiday in the Canadian federal data for 2027 falls on a working day, so the country's holiday count and its working-day loss are the same number this year, which is not usually the case.

The longest uninterrupted run in the 2027 calendar sits between January 1, 2027 and March 26, 2027, 84 calendar days with no Canadian federal closure in between. Stretches like that are where multi-week work belongs, and they move from year to year whenever a movable holiday does.

Where the month sits in the year's closure pattern

Closures are not spread evenly across a calendar year. They cluster around fixed anniversaries and around whichever lunar or movable feasts a jurisdiction observes, so two adjacent months can carry very different loads, and the Canadian federal calendar is no exception.

2027 opens its Canadian federal closures with New Year's Day on January 1, 2027 and ends them with Boxing Day (observed) on December 28, 2027. The densest month of the year is September 2027 with two closures on working days.

The same count as last year

June 2027 and June 2026 carry the same number of business days, 22 in each. An unchanged total does not mean an unchanged month: the working days sit on different dates and break into different stretches, so a schedule copied forward date by date will not line up even though the capacity has not moved.

June opens 2026 on a Monday, 2027 on a Tuesday, and 2028 on a Thursday. The alignment moves every year, by one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, and here it happens to leave the totals level while changing which dates the working days sit on. The number of closures on working days is the same in both years, so the whole of any difference comes from weekday alignment. Looking ahead, June 2028 carries 22 business days.

Where the month's anchor dates fall

Two of the common monthly anchor dates in June 2027 land outside the working week or on a closure. The table below resolves each one against the Canadian federal calendar, together with the first working day on or after it.

DateWeekdayStatus under the Canadian federal calendarFirst working day on or after

The final column is arithmetic, not a legal conclusion. Whether an obligation actually moves when its date is not a working day depends on the instrument that sets it, and this site does not assume a shift rule for any jurisdiction. Where a rule is known it is stated in the holiday data methodology and on the country page it applies to.

Net terms dated in June 2027

An invoice dated the 1st of June on calendar-day Net 30 terms comes due on July 1, 2027, which is not a working day under the Canadian federal calendar. A term counted in calendar days can land anywhere in the week, and roughly two days in seven it lands somewhere nothing settles, which is the ordinary reason a payment shows as late by a day or two without anyone being late.

Invoice dateNet 30, calendar daysNet 60, calendar days

Dated June 30July 30, 2027August 29, 2027 (rolls to August 30, 2027)

Net 30 and Net 60 are commercial conventions rather than statutory periods, and both are counted here in calendar days, which is how they are almost always written. Where a contract counts in working days instead, use the between-dates calculator with the Canada calendar selected, because the two produce different dates whenever a closure falls inside the term.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many business days are in June 2027 under the Canadian federal holiday calendar?
June 2027 has 22 business days under the Canadian federal holiday calendar. The month spans 30 calendar days, of which 8 fall on a weekend and 0 are Canadian federal holidays that land on a weekday. The remaining 22 weekdays are countable as business days for invoicing, deadline tracking, and contract math.
Which Canada holidays affect June 2027?
June 2027 contains no Canadian federal holidays that fall on a weekday, so on this calculator's holiday set the month loses no working day.
Which provinces does this Canadian calendar cover?
No province or territory by its own list. This calculator uses the ten general holidays that section 166 of the Canada Labour Code lists. Part III of the Code, which holds section 166, applies under section 167(1), with the exception that subsection states, to employment in or in connection with the operation of a federal work, undertaking or business; the Government of Canada's list of federally regulated private sectors includes banks, telecommunications, air transportation and road transportation services that cross provincial or international borders. The same list puts the federal public service under Parts II and IV of the Code only. Family Day, on which the Toronto Stock Exchange's lists for 2025 and 2026 close the markets, and Easter Monday, the Civic Holiday and Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day (Quebec only), which the Canada Revenue Agency's list of public holidays for 2026 names, are not among the ten and are not in this site's federal data. The Canada calculator page links a page for each province and territory, and each of those counts its own list.
Why does the Toronto Stock Exchange calendar differ from this count?
The exchange publishes its own list of market closures, and it is not the Code's list. The Toronto Stock Exchange's lists for 2025 and 2026 close the markets on Family Day and the Civic Holiday; neither is among the ten general holidays that section 166 of the Canada Labour Code lists and this calculator excludes. Neither list names Remembrance Day or the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which are both general holidays under section 166 and are excluded here. A count of trading days therefore follows the exchange's list, not this calculator's.
Why does the business-day count vary year to year?
Two things shift the monthly count for Canada. First, the day of the week the first of the month lands on changes the count of each weekday. Second, Canadian federal holidays anchored to a fixed date shift their weekday across years. Some years a fixed-date holiday lands on a weekend; some countries shift the observance to an adjacent weekday and some absorb it into the weekend. June 2026 also had 22 business days, so the working capacity is unchanged year over year.
When is the last working day of June 2027?
The last working day of June 2027 under the Canadian federal calendar is Wednesday, June 30. The month's last calendar day is Wednesday, June 30, so the two are the same date this year. Counting back, the third-to-last working day is Monday, June 28.
How many working days in a row does June 2027 offer?
June 2027 has 22 business days in total, but they do not run consecutively. They arrive in five stretches of 4, 5, 5, 5, and 3 days, so the longest unbroken run is five days, from June 7 to June 11. No working day in the month is isolated between two closures.
