bank holidays in June 2027
No England and Wales bank holidays fall on a weekday in June 2027, so the month loses no working day to a holiday on this calendar.
United Kingdom June deadlines
Forms P11D reporting taxable benefits in kind for the tax year that ended April 5 are due to HMRC by July 6, and Class 1A National Insurance on those benefits is payable by July 22, or July 19 by cheque through the post. Employers who payroll their benefits still file a P11D(b) for the Class 1A charge. Schedule 1 to the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971 names no June day for England and Wales, so June has a bank holiday there only when one is appointed by proclamation.

United Kingdom reporting cycles and business-day rules
HMRC's guidance gives PAYE two separate dates. An employer sends the Full Payment Submission on or before its employees' payday, even if it pays HMRC quarterly instead of monthly, with the exceptions HMRC lists for sending one after payday. An employer that pays monthly pays its PAYE bill by the 22nd of the next tax month, and a cheque sent through the post must reach HMRC by the 19th. A tax month starts on the 6th. The Bank of England describes the CHAPS system as usually open from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank or public holidays in England and Wales, and says customer payments must be submitted by 5.40pm. Section 442 of the Companies Act 2006 gives a private company nine months after the end of the relevant accounting reference period to file its accounts, with other periods for a first accounting reference period of more than twelve months and for a shortened one. Section 443 counts that period in months: it ends with the date in the ninth following month that corresponds to the last day of the reference period, or with the last day of that month where the reference period ends on the last day of a month.

How June 2027 compares year over year
June 2026 also had 22 working days, so the working capacity is unchanged year over year. On the surrounding months, May 2027 has 19 working days and July 2027 has 22. Looking forward, June 2028 has 22 working days under the same England and Wales bank holiday calendar.
Using this calculator in United Kingdom
With the bank holidays of England and Wales left out, June 2027 has 22 working days from Monday to Friday. Where your contract counts a period in business days, the UK calculator on this site counts it with the bank holidays of England and Wales. Court time limits under the Civil Procedure Rules are a separate matter. Rule 2.8 computes a period expressed as a number of days as clear days, which leaves out the day on which the period begins and, if the end of the period is defined by reference to an event, the day of that event. Where the specified period is 5 days or less, a Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holiday, Christmas Day or Good Friday in it does not count. For VAT, HMRC gives the deadline for submitting a return online, which is also the deadline for paying, as usually one calendar month and 7 days after the end of an accounting period, and says the return and the payment must reach it on or before the deadline even if it is on a weekend or bank holiday.

How June 2027 is shaped
The headline count answers how many working days June 2027 contains. It does not answer where they sit, and for anything measured in consecutive days rather than cumulative days that second question is the binding one. What follows is derived entirely from the England and Wales bank holiday calendar and a working week that treats Saturday and Sunday as the weekend, with no assumption about how any particular obligation behaves.
The month that closes the first half of the year
June runs 30 days, closes Q2 and closes the first half of the calendar year, so its last working day carries three boundaries at once: month, quarter and half-year. It is one of only two months that can do that. June and February also share a weekday alignment in a common year, which means a June calendar is the February calendar extended by two days.
In June 2027 that comes to 22 working days across 30 calendar days, against 19 in May 2027 and 22 in July 2027.
A start one day into the week
The 1st falls on the second working day of the week, so June inherits a part-week at the top. One working day of that week was spent in the previous month, which is why a month opening here reads short at the beginning and long at the end. Reporting cut on calendar weeks and reporting cut on the calendar month disagree about where the period starts, and the gap is exactly one working day.
The opening stretch runs from Tuesday, June 1 to June 4, four working days before the first break. June 2027 carries 22 working days in total, so that opening block is 18% of the month's working capacity.
Five working stretches
June splits into five working stretches. That is the ordinary shape of a month whose only interruptions are its weekends, and it means the month's internal boundaries are all predictable a year in advance: nothing here depends on a holiday date moving.
The working days of June 2027 arrive in stretches of 4, 5, 5, 5, and 3 days. The longest unbroken stretch runs five days, from June 7 to June 11. A task needing more consecutive working days than that cannot be completed inside a single stretch, whatever the month's total looks like.
The month is front-loaded. It opens with four consecutive days and closes with three, so capacity thins toward the end. Work deferred out of the first stretch arrives in a shorter one, which is how a schedule that looked comfortable in week one stops fitting.
Two weekdays occur five times
Thirty days is four seven-day cycles plus two, so a 30-day month has exactly two weekdays occurring five times and five occurring four times. Here they are Tuesday and Wednesday. The pair is always consecutive, because the surplus days are the first two of the month repeated at its end.
All of them are working days here, so the surplus lands entirely on the working week: Tuesday and Wednesday each occur 5 times. Had the surplus fallen on the weekend instead, the same month would carry 20 working days rather than 22.
A month with no closures, and a long one
June 2027 contains no England and Wales bank holiday on any date, working or otherwise. A month with no closure loses working days only to weekends, so its count is set entirely by the weekday it opens on and its length, and here both work in the month's favour: 22 working days across 30 calendar days.
Months at this end of the range are the ones worth reserving for work that needs consecutive days rather than cumulative days. The constraint that usually breaks a long run, a closure landing mid-week, is absent, so the month's structure is entirely weekend-driven and repeats on a seven-day cycle.
A closure sits just outside the month
June 2027 contains no England and Wales bank closure of its own, but one sits within a week of its edge. A closure just outside a month still reaches into it: work displaced from the closed day lands on the working days beside it, and those are inside June whichever side the holiday falls on.
Looking outside the month, the last was Spring Bank Holiday on May 31, 2027, 1 calendar day before June began and the next is Summer Bank Holiday on August 30, 2027, 61 calendar days after it ends.
Across the whole of 2027 the England and Wales bank calendar puts eight closures on working days, of which none falls in June. That ratio, rather than the raw count, is what tells you whether a month is carrying more than its share of the year's downtime.
A midweek close
The month ends in the middle of a working week. Two working days of the final calendar week fall in June and the remainder in the month after, which makes the closing week a partial period on both sides. A midweek close is the pattern most likely to push month-end tasks into the following month by default, simply because the week continues past the boundary.
The last working day of June 2027 is Wednesday, June 30. Counting back from there, the third-to-last is Monday, June 28, two calendar days before the month closes.
The quarter closes here
June closes Q2, so the quarter's last working day and this month's last working day are the same date. Everything the quarter has deferred arrives inside these 22 working days, and there is no further month in the period to move it into.
Across the whole quarter there are 63 working days, of which 22 fall in June. The other two months carry April 2027 with 22 and May 2027 with 19. It sits between the other two, which makes it the month where a quarterly plan is least likely to be thrown off by the calendar alone.
The week's first working day is the scarcest
The first working day of the week is the one June gives least often. Anything anchored to the start of the working week (a weekly kickoff, a Monday-morning cutoff, a start-of-week batch) fires fewer times this month than the calendar count suggests, because a closure has taken one of them out.
Counted as worked rather than as occurring, June 2027 gives Monday 4, Tuesday 5, Wednesday 5, Thursday 4, and Friday 4. A weekly commitment pinned to a particular weekday fires that many times in the month, which is the number a rota needs and not the one the calendar shows.
Toward the long end of the year
June sits among the longer working months of 2027 under the England and Wales bank calendar. Where a month falls in that ranking is decided by two independent things, its calendar length and how many closures land on its working days, so a month can move several places between adjacent years without its length changing at all.
2027 carries 253 working days in total under the England and Wales bank calendar. The longest month of the year is April 2027 with 22 and the shortest is May 2027 with 19, a spread of 3. June ranks 2nd of the twelve with 22.
United Kingdom closures across the year
A month's working-day count only means something against the country's whole calendar. Two countries that share a weekend and happen to have the same closure-free month can still run very different years, and United Kingdom is placed as follows.
Across 2027 the England and Wales bank closures fall 3 in Q1, 2 in Q2, 1 in Q3, and 2 in Q4. Every holiday in the England and Wales bank data for 2027 falls on a working day, so the country's holiday count and its working-day loss are the same number this year, which is not usually the case.
The longest uninterrupted run in the 2027 calendar sits between August 30, 2027 and December 27, 2027, 119 calendar days with no England and Wales bank closure in between. Stretches like that are where multi-week work belongs, and they move from year to year whenever a movable holiday does.
Where the month sits in the year's closure pattern
Closures are not spread evenly across a calendar year. They cluster around fixed anniversaries and around whichever lunar or movable feasts a jurisdiction observes, so two adjacent months can carry very different loads, and the England and Wales bank calendar is no exception.
2027 opens its England and Wales bank closures with New Year's Day on January 1, 2027 and ends them with Boxing Day (observed) on December 28, 2027. The densest month of the year is March 2027 with two closures on working days.
The same count as last year
June 2027 and June 2026 carry the same number of working days, 22 in each. An unchanged total does not mean an unchanged month: the working days sit on different dates and break into different stretches, so a schedule copied forward date by date will not line up even though the capacity has not moved.
June opens 2026 on a Monday, 2027 on a Tuesday, and 2028 on a Thursday. The alignment moves every year, by one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, and here it happens to leave the totals level while changing which dates the working days sit on. The number of closures on working days is the same in both years, so the whole of any difference comes from weekday alignment. Looking ahead, June 2028 carries 22 working days.
Where the month's anchor dates fall
Two of the common monthly anchor dates in June 2027 land outside the working week or on a closure. The table below resolves each one against the England and Wales bank calendar, together with the first working day on or after it.
| Date | Weekday | Status under the England and Wales bank calendar | First working day on or after |
|---|---|---|---|
| June 1 | Tuesday | Working day | June 1 |
| June 5 | Saturday | Weekend | June 7, 2027 |
| June 10 | Thursday | Working day | June 10 |
| June 15 | Tuesday | Working day | June 15 |
| June 20 | Sunday | Weekend | June 21, 2027 |
| June 25 | Friday | Working day | June 25 |
| June 30 | Wednesday | Working day | June 30 |
The final column is arithmetic, not a legal conclusion. Whether an obligation actually moves when its date is not a working day depends on the instrument that sets it, and this site does not assume a shift rule for any jurisdiction. Where a rule is known it is stated in the holiday data methodology and on the country page it applies to.
Net terms dated in June 2027
An invoice dated the 1st of June on calendar-day Net 30 terms comes due on July 1, 2027, a working day under the England and Wales bank calendar. Terms counted in calendar days move independently of the working week, so the same term written on two consecutive months can settle cleanly in one and roll across a closure in the other.
| Invoice date | Net 30, calendar days | Net 60, calendar days |
|---|---|---|
| Dated June 1 | July 1, 2027 | July 31, 2027 (rolls to August 2, 2027) |
| Dated June 15 | July 15, 2027 | August 14, 2027 (rolls to August 16, 2027) |
| Dated June 30 | July 30, 2027 | August 29, 2027 (rolls to August 31, 2027) |
Net 30 and Net 60 are commercial conventions rather than statutory periods, and both are counted here in calendar days, which is how they are almost always written. Where a contract counts in working days instead, use the between-dates calculator with the United Kingdom calendar selected, because the two produce different dates whenever a closure falls inside the term.
