Brazil November deadlines

November holds three feriados nacionais: Finados on November 2 and Proclamação da República on November 15 under Lei 662/1949, and the Dia Nacional de Zumbi e da Consciência Negra on November 20 under Lei 14.759/2023, a national holiday since 2024. The 20th is also the due date for the social-security contributions on October's pay, and because banks do not open on the holiday, article 30, § 2º, II of Lei 8.212/1991 moves it to the business day before. The third-quarter ITR of a calendar-year CVM registrant is due by November 14 (Resolução CVM 80/2022, art. 31), and November is the last month in which the employer can pay the 13º salário advance (Lei 4.749/1965, art. 2).

Those dates in 2026

None of the dates named above falls on a working day in 2026 under the Brazilian bank calendar. A fixed calendar date advances by one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, so which side of the working week it lands on changes on a four-year cycle rather than staying put.

Brazil reporting cycles and business-day rules

Brazilian business days in this calculator follow the financial system rather than the labour calendar, and its thirteen closure days a year are of three kinds. Nine are feriados nacionais by federal statute: seven under article 1 of Lei 662/1949 as amended by Lei 10.607/2002, 12 October under Lei 6.802/1980 and 20 November under Lei 14.759/2023. Good Friday reads two ways: the federal government's annual list prints it as a feriado nacional, while Lei 9.093/1995 counts it among the religious holidays that municipal law declares, and FEBRABAN's bank-holiday calendar lists it. Carnival Monday and Tuesday and Corpus Christi are only ponto facultativo for federal staff, under the annual portaria of the Ministério da Gestão e da Inovação em Serviços Públicos. The calculator counts them because article 6 of Resolução CMN 4.880/2020 takes them, with weekends and national holidays, out of the business days for financial-market operations, and the Banco Central's STR settles only on the days that remain. B3's 2026 trading calendar also has no session on 24 or 31 December, which are business days for the financial system and which this calculator counts as business days. Two payroll deadlines share the 20th of the month after the payroll month: the FGTS deposit under article 15 of Lei 8.036/1990, as amended by Lei 14.438/2022, and the social-security contributions a company withholds and owes under article 30, I, b of Lei 8.212/1991, which fall due on the business day before when there is no banking on the 20th. The 13º salário comes from Lei 4.090/1962, not the CLT, and Lei 4.749/1965 sets its payment by December 20 with a half-salary advance between February and November.

How November 2026 compares year over year

November 2025 also had 19 dias úteis, so the working capacity is unchanged year over year. On the surrounding months, October 2026 has 21 dias úteis and December 2026 has 22. Looking forward, November 2027 has 20 dias úteis under the same Brazilian bank holiday calendar.

Using this calculator in Brazil

A São Paulo treasury team uses the 19-day November 2026 count because the Banco Central do Brasil's STR, which settles transfers in real time and operation by operation, runs only on the days Resolução CMN 4.880/2020 treats as business days for financial-market operations. A Belo Horizonte payroll controller works to the two deadlines that share the 20th of the month after the payroll month, the FGTS deposit under Lei 8.036/1990 and the social-security contributions under Lei 8.212/1991, and knows the social-security payment moves to the business day before when banks are shut on the 20th. The same controller schedules the 13º salário, whose half-salary advance is due between February and November and whose balance is due by December 20 under Lei 4.749/1965.

How November 2026 is shaped

The headline count answers how many dias úteis November 2026 contains. It does not answer where they sit, and for anything measured in consecutive days rather than cumulative days that second question is the binding one. What follows is derived entirely from the Brazilian bank holiday calendar and a working week that treats sábado and domingo as the weekend, with no assumption about how any particular obligation behaves.

The middle month of the final quarter

November runs 30 days and is the middle month of Q4. It shares its weekday alignment with March in every year, so a November calendar is a March calendar with a day removed from the end. Sitting between a quarter opening and a year end, it is the month where deferred work is most often assumed to have room and least often measured.

In November 2026 that comes to 19 dias úteis across 30 calendar days, against 21 in October 2026 and 22 in December 2026.

The month opens across a weekend

The 1st of November is a Sunday, a weekend day under the Brazilian bank calendar, whose week runs against a sábado and domingo weekend. Nothing that settles on working days moves on it. A month that opens this way loses its first working day to the calendar before any holiday is counted, and monthly cycles keyed to the 1st all resolve forward to the same date, which concentrates them.

The month's first working day is Tuesday, November 3, and November 2026 carries 19 dias úteis in total.

Five working stretches

November splits into five working stretches. That is the ordinary shape of a month whose only interruptions are its weekends, and it means the month's internal boundaries are all predictable a year in advance: nothing here depends on a holiday date moving.

The working days of November 2026 arrive in stretches of 4, 5, 4, 5, and 1 day. The longest unbroken stretch runs five days, from November 9 to November 13. A task needing more consecutive dias úteis than that cannot be completed inside a single stretch, whatever the month's total looks like.

The month is front-loaded. It opens with four consecutive days and closes with one, so capacity thins toward the end. Work deferred out of the first stretch arrives in a shorter one, which is how a schedule that looked comfortable in week one stops fitting.

Two weekdays occur five times

Thirty days is four seven-day cycles plus two, so a 30-day month has exactly two weekdays occurring five times and five occurring four times. Here they are Sunday and Monday. The pair is always consecutive, because the surplus days are the first two of the month repeated at its end.

Only Monday among them is a working day, so part of the surplus is absorbed by the sábado and domingo weekend and never reaches the working total. That split is why two months of the same length can carry different working-day counts without any holiday being involved.

Two closures in the month

Two Brazilian bank holidays fall on working days in November 2026: Finados on Monday, November 2 and Dia da Consciência Negra on Friday, November 20. Two closures remove two days from the total, but their effect on the month's usable structure depends on how far apart they are.

They sit 18 calendar days apart, one in each half of the month, so November is interrupted twice at roughly even spacing rather than once heavily. That spreads the loss but leaves no long uninterrupted stretch in either half.

The closure arrives before any working day has passed, so November is interrupted before it has started and the whole of its 19 remaining dias úteis sit after the break.

The closures around this month

November 2026 carries two Brazilian bank closures of its own, and the months on either side add their own. Where a deadline sits close to a month boundary, the closure that moves it is as likely to be outside the month as inside it.

Looking outside the month, the last was Nossa Senhora Aparecida on October 12, 2026, 20 calendar days before November began and the next is Natal on December 25, 2026, 25 calendar days after it ends.

Across the whole of 2026 the Brazilian bank calendar puts 12 closures on working days, of which two fall in November. That ratio, rather than the raw count, is what tells you whether a month is carrying more than its share of the year's downtime.

The month ends where a week begins

The final calendar day of November 2026 is the first working day of a week. A single working day of that week belongs to November and the rest to the month following, which is the least amount of closing capacity a month can have. Anything that must be done "in the last week" of November really has to be done before the preceding weekend.

The last working day of November 2026 is Monday, November 30. Counting back from there, the third-to-last is Thursday, November 26, four calendar days before the month closes.

The middle month of the quarter

November is the middle month of Q4. Middle months carry the least visibility in a quarterly cycle: the opening month sets expectations and the closing month is where they are settled, so a shortfall here is the one most likely to be noticed late.

Across the whole quarter there are 62 dias úteis, of which 19 fall in November. The other two months carry October 2026 with 21 and December 2026 with 22. It is the smallest of the three, so the quarter's capacity sits mostly in the other two months and a plan that spreads work evenly across the quarter will over-commit November.

The week's last working day is the scarcest

The last working day of the week is the one November gives least often. That matters more than the equivalent shortfall mid-week, because end-of-week cutoffs tend to be the ones that cannot move: work deferred past them waits out the whole weekend rather than a single night.

Counted as worked rather than as occurring, November 2026 gives Monday 4, Tuesday 4, Wednesday 4, Thursday 4, and Friday 3. A weekly commitment pinned to a particular weekday fires that many times in the month, which is the number a rota needs and not the one the calendar shows.

Toward the short end of the year

November sits among the shorter working months of 2026 under the Brazilian bank calendar. A month reaches this end of the ranking either by being short or by absorbing closures, and the two produce the same headline number while behaving differently: a closure fragments the month, a shorter calendar does not.

2026 carries 249 dias úteis in total under the Brazilian bank calendar. The longest month of the year is July 2026 with 23 and the shortest is February 2026 with 18, a spread of 5. November ranks 11th of the twelve with 19.

Inside one of the year's denser months

November 2026 carries more than one Brazilian bank closure, which puts it among the year's denser months. Closures are never spread evenly across a year, so a month's own count says as much about the country's calendar as about the month.

Across 2026 the Brazilian bank closures fall 3 in Q1, 4 in Q2, 1 in Q3, and 4 in Q4. A further one holiday lands on the sábado and domingo weekend and cost no working day at all, which is why a country's holiday count and its working-day loss are different numbers.

The longest uninterrupted run in the 2026 calendar sits between June 4, 2026 and September 7, 2026, 95 calendar days with no Brazilian bank closure in between. Stretches like that are where multi-week work belongs, and they move from year to year whenever a movable holiday does.

Where the month sits in the year's closure pattern

Closures are not spread evenly across a calendar year. They cluster around fixed anniversaries and around whichever lunar or movable feasts a jurisdiction observes, so two adjacent months can carry very different loads, and the Brazilian bank calendar is no exception.

2026 opens its Brazilian bank closures with Confraternização Universal on January 1, 2026 and ends them with Natal on December 25, 2026. The densest month of the year is February 2026 with two closures on working days.

The same count as last year

November 2026 and November 2025 carry the same number of dias úteis, 19 in each. An unchanged total does not mean an unchanged month: the working days sit on different dates and break into different stretches, so a schedule copied forward date by date will not line up even though the capacity has not moved.

November opens 2025 on a Saturday, 2026 on a Sunday, and 2027 on a Monday. That movement, one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, is what makes the three counts differ. The count of closures on working days differs between the two years as well, so alignment is not the only thing moving. Looking ahead, November 2027 carries 20 dias úteis.

Anchor dates that do not fall on working days

Three of the common monthly anchor dates in November 2026 land on a day this calendar does not work. A month with this many blocked anchors pushes several cycles onto the same few dates, because each of them resolves forward to the next available working day and those tend to be shared.

The final column is arithmetic, not a legal conclusion. Whether an obligation actually moves when its date is not a working day depends on the instrument that sets it, and this site does not assume a shift rule for any jurisdiction. Where a rule is known it is stated in the holiday data methodology and on the country page it applies to.

Net terms dated in November 2026

An invoice dated the 1st of November on calendar-day Net 30 terms comes due on December 1, 2026, a working day under the Brazilian bank calendar. Terms counted in calendar days move independently of the working week, so the same term written on two consecutive months can settle cleanly in one and roll across a closure in the other.

Invoice dateNet 30, calendar daysNet 60, calendar days

Net 30 and Net 60 are commercial conventions rather than statutory periods, and both are counted here in calendar days, which is how they are almost always written. Where a contract counts in working days instead, use the between-dates calculator with the Brazil calendar selected, because the two produce different dates whenever a closure falls inside the term.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many business days are in November 2026 under the Brazilian bank holiday calendar?
November 2026 has 19 dias úteis under the Brazilian bank holiday calendar. The month spans 30 calendar days, of which 9 fall on a weekend and 2 are Brazilian bank holidays that land on a weekday. The remaining 19 weekdays are countable as dias úteis for invoicing, deadline tracking, and contract math.
Which Brazil holidays affect November 2026?
November 2026 contains 2 Brazilian bank holidays: Finados on Monday, November 2; Dia da Consciência Negra on Friday, November 20. The calculator skips each of them. Regional or industry-specific closures may add further non-working days for narrower contract definitions; layer them into the calculator's Advanced options if needed.
Are Carnival and Corpus Christi national holidays in Brazil?
No. Federal statute makes nine days feriados nacionais: 1 January, 21 April, 1 May, 7 September, 2 November, 15 November and 25 December under Lei 662/1949 as amended by Lei 10.607/2002, 12 October under Lei 6.802/1980 and 20 November under Lei 14.759/2023. Carnival Monday and Tuesday, 48 and 47 days before Easter Sunday, and Corpus Christi, the Thursday 60 days after it, are ponto facultativo: each year a portaria of the Ministério da Gestão e da Inovação em Serviços Públicos sets them for the federal administration only (Portaria MGI 11.460/2025 for 2026), and it binds no private employer. This calculator counts them anyway, because article 6 of Resolução CMN 4.880/2020 makes all three non-business days for financial-market operations, so banks do not settle on them. Good Friday reads two ways: Lei 9.093/1995 counts it among the religious holidays that municipal law declares, while the federal government's annual list prints it as a feriado nacional. The calculator counts it with the national holidays, as FEBRABAN's bank-holiday calendar does. Ash Wednesday stays a business day, on which the same resolution allows banks special opening hours.
When did Dia da Consciência Negra become a national holiday?
Lei 14.759 of 21 December 2023 declared 20 November a feriado nacional, the Dia Nacional de Zumbi e da Consciência Negra, with effect from its publication, so 20 November 2024 was the first time it fell as a national holiday. As a national holiday it is also a non-business day for financial-market operations under article 6 of Resolução CMN 4.880/2020, and B3's 2026 trading calendar lists it among the exchange's closures. Because it always falls on the 20th, it always coincides with the due date for the social-security contributions a company owes for October, which then moves to the business day before under article 30, § 2º, II of Lei 8.212/1991.
Why does the business-day count vary year to year?
Two things shift the monthly count for Brazil. First, the day of the week the first of the month lands on changes the count of each weekday. Second, Brazilian bank holidays anchored to a fixed date shift their weekday across years. Some years a fixed-date holiday lands on a weekend; some countries shift the observance to an adjacent weekday and some absorb it into the weekend. November 2025 also had 19 dias úteis, so the working capacity is unchanged year over year.
When is the last working day of November 2026?
The last working day of November 2026 under the Brazilian bank calendar is Monday, November 30. The month's last calendar day is Monday, November 30, so the two are the same date this year. Counting back, the third-to-last working day is Thursday, November 26.
How many working days in a row does November 2026 offer?
November 2026 has 19 dias úteis in total, but they do not run consecutively. They arrive in five stretches of 4, 5, 4, 5, and 1 day, so the longest unbroken run is five days, from November 9 to November 13. No working day in the month is isolated between two closures.
