No Spain-wide holidays fall on a weekday in November 2026, so the month loses no working day to a holiday on this calendar.
Spain November deadlines
Día de Todos los Santos on November 1 falls on a Sunday roughly one year in seven, and Spanish law is explicit about what happens then: Article 37.2 of the Estatuto de los Trabajadores transfers a national holiday coinciding with a Sunday to the following Monday "en todo caso", though a Comunidad Autónoma may replace that Monday with a traditional holiday of its own. Withholding for October is due in the first twenty calendar days of November.

Those dates in 2026
None of the dates named above falls on a working day in 2026 under the Spain-wide calendar. A fixed calendar date advances by one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, so which side of the working week it lands on changes on a four-year cycle rather than staying put.

Spain reporting cycles and business-day rules
Each provision cited here sets a filing window, not a single date. Article 71.4 of the Reglamento del IVA puts the quarterly VAT return (Modelo 303) in the first twenty días naturales (calendar days) of the month after the quarter, the return for the last period of the year in the first thirty of January, and a monthly return in the first thirty of the following month, or by the last day of February for January. Article 111.1 of the Reglamento del IRPF puts the pagos fraccionados (Modelos 130 and 131) between the 1st and the 20th of April, July and October, and the fourth quarter's between the 1st and the 30th of January. Under Article 108.1, withholdings (Modelo 111 among the returns) are declared in the first twenty días naturales of April, July, October and January, and in the first twenty of every month where numbers 1 and 2 of Article 71.3 of the Reglamento del IVA apply or where, for the income the article names, the withholder is a public administration whose last approved annual budget exceeds 6 million euros. Article 124.1 of Ley 27/2014 puts the Impuesto sobre Sociedades return (Modelo 200) in the 25 días naturales that follow the six months after the end of the tax period. The AEAT's 2026 taxpayer calendar says that a deadline which falls on a local or regional holiday ends on the next día hábil, except Modelo 369; the AEAT page on the Modelo 303 filing period adds that Saturday is inhábil and that a last filing day which is inhábil moves to the next día hábil.

How November 2026 compares year over year
November 2025 had 20 días laborables, so November 2026 has 1 more working day year over year. On the surrounding months, October 2026 has 21 días laborables and December 2026 has 21. Looking forward, November 2027 has 21 días laborables under the same Spain-wide holiday calendar.
Using this calculator in Spain
The 21 business days of November 2026 are its Monday-to-Friday days less the days of the calculator's Spain set, the days that are a holiday in all seventeen comunidades autónomas, in Ceuta and in Melilla; a holiday missing from any of those territories is not in the set. The count measures the days the month offers for preparing a return, not where a filing window ends: Article 124.1 of Ley 27/2014, for one, sets the window for the Impuesto sobre Sociedades return (Modelo 200) in días naturales (calendar days), the 25 that follow the six months after the end of the tax period. A window's end can also move: the AEAT's 2026 taxpayer calendar says that a deadline which falls on a local or regional holiday ends on the next día hábil, except Modelo 369, whose filing period does not move.

How November 2026 is shaped
The headline count answers how many días laborables November 2026 contains. It does not answer where they sit, and for anything measured in consecutive days rather than cumulative days that second question is the binding one. What follows is derived entirely from the Spain-wide holiday calendar and a working week that treats sábado and domingo as the weekend, with no assumption about how any particular obligation behaves.
The middle month of the final quarter
November runs 30 days and is the middle month of Q4. It shares its weekday alignment with March in every year, so a November calendar is a March calendar with a day removed from the end. Sitting between a quarter opening and a year end, it is the month where deferred work is most often assumed to have room and least often measured.
In November 2026 that comes to 21 días laborables across 30 calendar days, against 21 in October 2026 and 21 in December 2026.
The month opens across a weekend
The 1st of November is a Sunday, a weekend day under the Spain-wide calendar, whose week runs against a sábado and domingo weekend. Nothing that settles on working days moves on it. A month that opens this way loses its first working day to the calendar before any holiday is counted, and monthly cycles keyed to the 1st all resolve forward to the same date, which concentrates them.
The month's first working day is Monday, November 2, and November 2026 carries 21 días laborables in total.
Five working stretches
November splits into five working stretches. That is the ordinary shape of a month whose only interruptions are its weekends, and it means the month's internal boundaries are all predictable a year in advance: nothing here depends on a holiday date moving.
The working days of November 2026 arrive in stretches of 5, 5, 5, 5, and 1 day. The longest unbroken stretch runs five days, from November 2 to November 6. A task needing more consecutive días laborables than that cannot be completed inside a single stretch, whatever the month's total looks like.
The month is front-loaded. It opens with five consecutive days and closes with one, so capacity thins toward the end. Work deferred out of the first stretch arrives in a shorter one, which is how a schedule that looked comfortable in week one stops fitting.
Two weekdays occur five times
Thirty days is four seven-day cycles plus two, so a 30-day month has exactly two weekdays occurring five times and five occurring four times. Here they are Sunday and Monday. The pair is always consecutive, because the surplus days are the first two of the month repeated at its end.
Only Monday among them is a working day, so part of the surplus is absorbed by the sábado and domingo weekend and never reaches the working total. That split is why two months of the same length can carry different working-day counts without any holiday being involved.
Every holiday this month falls on the weekend
November 2026 does contain a Spain-wide holiday, but it lands on the weekend (sábado and domingo under this calendar): Día de Todos los Santos on Sunday, November 1. A holiday costs a working day only when it displaces one, so a weekend-falling holiday leaves the month's count untouched.
Whether the day off is recovered on an adjacent weekday depends on the substitution rule of the jurisdiction, which varies and is not assumed here. This calculator counts only the dates its holiday data publishes, and for November 2026 that data lists no Spain-wide closure on a working day. Where a substitute weekday is granted, the data set carries it as a separate entry with its own date.
The closures on either side of the month
Nothing closes inside November 2026 under the Spain-wide calendar, so the useful question is what sits on either side of it. Adjacent closures matter to a monthly plan because deadlines that fall near a month boundary are usually satisfied on the other side of it.
Looking outside the month, the last was Fiesta Nacional de España on October 12, 2026, 20 calendar days before November began and the next is Inmaculada Concepción on December 8, 2026, 8 calendar days after it ends.
Across the whole of 2026 the Spain-wide calendar puts seven closures on working days, of which none falls in November. That ratio, rather than the raw count, is what tells you whether a month is carrying more than its share of the year's downtime.
The month ends where a week begins
The final calendar day of November 2026 is the first working day of a week. A single working day of that week belongs to November and the rest to the month following, which is the least amount of closing capacity a month can have. Anything that must be done "in the last week" of November really has to be done before the preceding weekend.
The last working day of November 2026 is Monday, November 30. Counting back from there, the third-to-last is Thursday, November 26, four calendar days before the month closes.
The middle month of the quarter
November is the middle month of Q4. Middle months carry the least visibility in a quarterly cycle: the opening month sets expectations and the closing month is where they are settled, so a shortfall here is the one most likely to be noticed late.
Across the whole quarter there are 63 días laborables, of which 21 fall in November. The other two months carry October 2026 with 21 and December 2026 with 21. All three months of the quarter carry the same working-day count, which happens when their weekday alignments and closures cancel out exactly.
The week's second working day is the scarcest
The second working day of the week is the one November gives least often. Weekly cycles that run one day behind the start of the week, which is where most reporting handovers sit, lose an occurrence relative to the rest.
Counted as worked rather than as occurring, November 2026 gives Monday 5, Tuesday 4, Wednesday 4, Thursday 4, and Friday 4. A weekly commitment pinned to a particular weekday fires that many times in the month, which is the number a rota needs and not the one the calendar shows.
Where the month sits in the year
November sits in the middle of 2026 by working-day count under the Spain-wide calendar. The middle of that ranking is where a month's total is least informative on its own, because a mid-ranked month can be a long month carrying closures or a short one carrying none, and the two need different plans.
2026 carries 254 días laborables in total under the Spain-wide calendar. The longest month of the year is July 2026 with 23 and the shortest is May 2026 with 20, a spread of 3. November ranks 8th of the twelve with 21.
Spain closures across the year
A month's working-day count only means something against the country's whole calendar. Two countries that share a weekend and happen to have the same closure-free month can still run very different years, and Spain is placed as follows.
Across 2026 the Spain-wide closures fall 2 in Q1, 2 in Q2, 0 in Q3, and 3 in Q4. A further three holidays land on the sábado and domingo weekend and cost no working day at all, which is why a country's holiday count and its working-day loss are different numbers.
The longest uninterrupted run in the 2026 calendar sits between May 1, 2026 and October 12, 2026, 164 calendar days with no Spain-wide closure in between. Stretches like that are where multi-week work belongs, and they move from year to year whenever a movable holiday does.
Where the month sits in the year's closure pattern
Closures are not spread evenly across a calendar year. They cluster around fixed anniversaries and around whichever lunar or movable feasts a jurisdiction observes, so two adjacent months can carry very different loads, and the Spain-wide calendar is no exception.
2026 opens its Spain-wide closures with Año Nuevo on January 1, 2026 and ends them with Navidad on December 25, 2026. The densest month of the year is January 2026 with two closures on working days.
One working day more than last year
There is one more días laborable in November 2026 than in November 2025: 21 against 20. A single-day swing is the ordinary case, produced by the calendar shifting forward one weekday between consecutive common years, and it is large enough to matter to a monthly target and small enough to be missed.
November opens 2025 on a Saturday, 2026 on a Sunday, and 2027 on a Monday. That movement, one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, is what makes the three counts differ. The number of closures on working days is the same in both years, so the whole of any difference comes from weekday alignment. Looking ahead, November 2027 carries 21 días laborables.
Where the month's anchor dates fall
Two of the common monthly anchor dates in November 2026 land outside the working week or on a closure. The table below resolves each one against the Spain-wide calendar, together with the first working day on or after it.
| Date | Weekday | Status under the Spain-wide calendar | First working day on or after |
|---|---|---|---|
| November 1 | Sunday | Closed: Día de Todos los Santos | November 2, 2026 |
| November 5 | Thursday | Working day | November 5 |
| November 10 | Tuesday | Working day | November 10 |
| November 15 | Sunday | Weekend | November 16, 2026 |
| November 20 | Friday | Working day | November 20 |
| November 25 | Wednesday | Working day | November 25 |
| November 30 | Monday | Working day | November 30 |
The final column is arithmetic, not a legal conclusion. Whether an obligation actually moves when its date is not a working day depends on the instrument that sets it, and this site does not assume a shift rule for any jurisdiction. Where a rule is known it is stated in the holiday data methodology and on the country page it applies to.
Net terms dated in November 2026
An invoice dated the 1st of November on calendar-day Net 30 terms comes due on December 1, 2026, a working day under the Spain-wide calendar. Terms counted in calendar days move independently of the working week, so the same term written on two consecutive months can settle cleanly in one and roll across a closure in the other.
| Invoice date | Net 30, calendar days | Net 60, calendar days |
|---|---|---|
| Dated November 1 | December 1, 2026 | December 31, 2026 |
| Dated November 15 | December 15, 2026 | January 14, 2027 |
| Dated November 30 | December 30, 2026 | January 29, 2027 |
Net 30 and Net 60 are commercial conventions rather than statutory periods, and both are counted here in calendar days, which is how they are almost always written. Where a contract counts in working days instead, use the between-dates calculator with the Spain calendar selected, because the two produce different dates whenever a closure falls inside the term.
