Singapore March deadlines
March 1 is the date by which an employer in the Auto-Inclusion Scheme submits its employees' income for the previous year to IRAS electronically. CPF contributions for February are due on its last day, with enforcement against an employer that has not paid them by March 14, or the next working day when the 14th is a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday. A company with a 31 December financial year end files its estimated chargeable income within three months, by March 31, unless one of IRAS's exceptions applies. The Ministry of Manpower lists Hari Raya Puasa on Wednesday 10 March 2027 and Good Friday on Friday 26 March. March 14 is a Sunday, so the CPF date is Monday 15 March.
Sources for these dates
- Reporting employee earnings under the Auto-Inclusion Scheme: employees' income information submitted to IRAS electronically by 1 Mar of the following year (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS))
- Paying your employees' CPF contributions on time: contributions are due on the last day of each calendar month; enforcement action against employers who fail to pay by the 14th of the following month, or the next working day if the 14th falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday (CPF Board)
- Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) filing: within 3 months from the end of the financial year, unless an exception applies (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS))

Those dates in 2027
One of the dates named above does not fall on a working day in 2027 under the Singapore calendar. A fixed calendar date advances through the week year by year, so this resolution holds for 2027 only.

Singapore reporting cycles and business-day rules
This calculator counts Monday to Friday and leaves out the 11 public holidays the Ministry of Manpower lists. When one falls on a Sunday, section 4(2) of the Holidays Act 1998 makes the next day that is not itself a public holiday a public holiday too, and the calculator leaves that day out as well. A holiday on a Saturday adds no public holiday under the Act, although MOM says an employee whose Saturday is a non-working day should get either a day off or salary in lieu; the calculator adds no day for it. The CPF Board's enforcement date, the 14th of the month after contributions fall due, moves to the next working day when it is a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday.
Sources for these rules
- Public holidays: entitlement and pay: the 11 gazetted public holidays; an employee covered by the Employment Act is entitled to 11 paid public holidays in a year, and for one who is not it is according to the terms of the employment contract; for a holiday on a non-working Saturday, either a day off or salary in lieu; for work on a public holiday, by default an additional day's pay or, by mutual agreement, a public holiday in lieu (Ministry of Manpower)
- Holidays Act 1998: s 4(1) the days specified in the Schedule are declared to be public holidays; s 4(2) if any day specified in the Schedule falls on a Sunday, the day next following not being itself a public holiday is declared a public holiday; s 5(1) the President may, by notification in the Gazette, declare any day in any particular year to be observed as a public holiday in addition to, or in substitution for, any day specified in the Schedule; s 5(2) where in any year 2 public holidays fall on the same day, the President may declare any day in that year to be observed as an additional public holiday; the Schedule: New Year's Day, Chinese New Year (2 days), Hari Raya Puasa, Hari Raya Haji, Good Friday, Labour Day, Vesak Day, National Day, Deepavali, Christmas Day (Singapore Statutes Online (Attorney-General's Chambers))
- Paying your employees' CPF contributions on time: contributions are due on the last day of each calendar month; enforcement action against employers who fail to pay by the 14th of the following month, or the next working day if the 14th falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday (CPF Board)

How March 2027 compares year over year
March 2026 had 22 working days, so March 2027 has 1 fewer working day year over year. On the surrounding months, February 2027 has 19 working days and April 2027 has 22. Looking forward, March 2028 has 23 working days under the same Singapore holiday calendar.
Using this calculator in Singapore
Count the 21 business days of March 2027 when a CPF or IRAS date is near. CPF contributions for a month are due on its last day, and the CPF Board takes enforcement action against an employer that has not paid them by the 14th of the following month, or by the next working day when the 14th is a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday. A GST return and its payment are due one month after the end of the accounting period, and a company files its estimated chargeable income within three months of its financial year end, unless one of IRAS's exceptions applies.
Sources for these rules
- Paying your employees' CPF contributions on time: contributions are due on the last day of each calendar month; enforcement action against employers who fail to pay by the 14th of the following month, or the next working day if the 14th falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday (CPF Board)
- GST filing due dates: the GST return and payment are due 1 month after the end of the accounting period (Jan-Mar by 30 Apr, Apr-Jun by 31 Jul, Jul-Sept by 31 Oct, Oct-Dec by 31 Jan) (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS))
- Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) filing: within 3 months from the end of the financial year, unless an exception applies (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS))

How March 2027 is shaped
The headline count answers how many working days March 2027 contains. It does not answer where they sit, and for anything measured in consecutive days rather than cumulative days that second question is the binding one. What follows is derived entirely from the Singapore holiday calendar and a working week that treats Saturday and Sunday as the weekend, with no assumption about how any particular obligation behaves.
The month that closes the first quarter
March closes Q1 and is one of the seven 31-day months. Because it ends a quarter, its final working day is also the quarter's final working day, so a March count carries two boundaries rather than one. It is also the month in which the Gregorian year's day-of-week pattern first repeats: March and November always share the same weekday alignment in any given year.
In March 2027 that comes to 21 working days across 31 calendar days, against 19 in February 2027 and 22 in April 2027.
A clean start to the working week
March 2027 opens on the first working day of the week. That is the alignment where the month's own numbering and the working week agree: week one of the month is a whole working week that belongs entirely to March, with nothing borrowed from the month before. Of the 5 possible starts this is the only one where "the first week" and "the first 5 working days" describe the same span.
The opening stretch runs from Monday, March 1 to March 5, five working days before the first break. March 2027 carries 21 working days in total, so that opening block is 24% of the month's working capacity.
Six working stretches
The month's working days fall into six stretches. Six is the shape a month takes when its weekends divide it evenly and at least one closure lands inside a working week rather than beside one, so the fragmentation is not simply a function of the month's length.
The working days of March 2027 arrive in stretches of 5, 2, 2, 5, 4, and 3 days. The longest unbroken stretch runs five days, from March 1 to March 5. A task needing more consecutive working days than that cannot be completed inside a single stretch, whatever the month's total looks like.
The month is front-loaded. It opens with five consecutive days and closes with three, so capacity thins toward the end. Work deferred out of the first stretch arrives in a shorter one, which is how a schedule that looked comfortable in week one stops fitting.
Three weekdays occur five times
A 31-day month contains four full seven-day cycles and three days over, so exactly three weekdays occur five times and the other four occur four times. In March 2027 the three are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Which three it is follows entirely from the weekday the month opens on, which is why the working-day count of a 31-day month moves year to year even when its holidays do not.
All of them are working days here, so the surplus lands entirely on the working week: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday each occur 5 times. A weekend of two days can take at most two of them, and had it done so the same month would carry 19 working days rather than 21.
Two closures in the month
Two Singapore holidays fall on working days in March 2027: Hari Raya Puasa on Wednesday, March 10 and Good Friday on Friday, March 26. Two closures remove two days from the total, but their effect on the month's usable structure depends on how far apart they are.
They sit 16 calendar days apart, one in each half of the month, so March is interrupted twice at roughly even spacing rather than once heavily. That spreads the loss but leaves no long uninterrupted stretch in either half.
seven working days pass before the closure and 14 follow it, which puts the break just short of the month's midpoint. A closure near the middle divides the month into two usable halves rather than trimming one end of it.
The closures around this month
March 2027 carries two Singapore closures of its own, and the months on either side add their own. Where a deadline sits close to a month boundary, the closure that moves it is as likely to be outside the month as inside it.
Looking outside the month, the last was Chinese New Year Day 2 (observed) on February 8, 2027, 21 calendar days before March began and the next is Hari Raya Haji on May 17, 2027, 47 calendar days after it ends.
Across the whole of 2027 the Singapore calendar puts eight closures on working days, of which two fall in March. That ratio, rather than the raw count, is what tells you whether a month is carrying more than its share of the year's downtime.
A midweek close
The month ends in the middle of a working week. Two working days of the final calendar week fall in March and the remainder in the month after, which makes the closing week a partial period on both sides. A midweek close is the pattern most likely to push month-end tasks into the following month by default, simply because the week continues past the boundary.
The last working day of March 2027 is Wednesday, March 31. Counting back from there, the third-to-last is Monday, March 29, two calendar days before the month closes.
The quarter closes here
March closes Q1, so the quarter's last working day and this month's last working day are the same date. Everything the quarter has deferred arrives inside these 21 working days, and there is no further month in the period to move it into.
Across the whole quarter there are 60 working days, of which 21 fall in March. The other two months carry January 2027 with 20 and February 2027 with 19. It is the largest of the three, so work deferred out of March lands in a month with less room than this one had.
The week's last working day is the scarcest
The last working day of the week is the one March gives least often. That matters more than the equivalent shortfall mid-week, because end-of-week cutoffs tend to be the ones that cannot move: work deferred past them waits out the whole weekend rather than a single night.
Counted as worked rather than as occurring, March 2027 gives Monday 5, Tuesday 5, Wednesday 4, Thursday 4, and Friday 3. A weekly commitment pinned to a particular weekday fires that many times in the month, which is the number a rota needs and not the one the calendar shows.
Where the month sits in the year
March sits in the middle of 2027 by working-day count under the Singapore calendar. The middle of that ranking is where a month's total is least informative on its own, because a mid-ranked month can be a long month carrying closures or a short one carrying none, and the two need different plans.
2027 carries 253 working days in total under the Singapore calendar. The longest month of the year is December 2027 with 23 and the shortest is May 2027 with 19, a spread of 4. March ranks 7th of the twelve with 21.
Inside one of the year's denser months
March 2027 carries more than one Singapore closure, which puts it among the year's denser months. Closures are never spread evenly across a year, so a month's own count says as much about the country's calendar as about the month.
Across 2027 the Singapore closures fall 4 in Q1, 2 in Q2, 1 in Q3, and 1 in Q4. A further three holidays land on the Saturday and Sunday weekend and cost no working day at all, which is why a country's holiday count and its working-day loss are different numbers.
The longest uninterrupted run in the 2027 calendar sits between May 20, 2027 and August 9, 2027, 81 calendar days with no Singapore closure in between. Stretches like that are where multi-week work belongs, and they move from year to year whenever a movable holiday does.
Where the month sits in the year's closure pattern
Closures are not spread evenly across a calendar year. They cluster around fixed anniversaries and around whichever lunar or movable feasts a jurisdiction observes, so two adjacent months can carry very different loads, and the Singapore calendar is no exception.
2027 opens its Singapore closures with New Year's Day on January 1, 2027 and ends them with Deepavali on October 28, 2027. The densest month of the year is March 2027 with two closures on working days.
One working day fewer than last year
March 2027 has one working day fewer than March 2026: 21 against 22. On a monthly target that is roughly 5% less working time for the same calendar period, which is the size of gap that shows up as an unexplained miss rather than as a known constraint.
March opens 2026 on a Sunday, 2027 on a Monday, and 2028 on a Wednesday. That movement, one weekday in a common year and two after a leap day, is what makes the three counts differ. The count of closures on working days differs between the two years as well, so alignment is not the only thing moving. Looking ahead, March 2028 carries 23 working days.
Where the month's anchor dates fall
Two of the common monthly anchor dates in March 2027 land outside the working week or on a closure. The table below resolves each one against the Singapore calendar, together with the first working day on or after it.
| Date | Weekday | Status under the Singapore calendar | First working day on or after |
|---|---|---|---|
| March 1 | Monday | Working day | March 1 |
| March 5 | Friday | Working day | March 5 |
| March 10 | Wednesday | Closed: Hari Raya Puasa | March 11, 2027 |
| March 15 | Monday | Working day | March 15 |
| March 20 | Saturday | Weekend | March 22, 2027 |
| March 25 | Thursday | Working day | March 25 |
| March 31 | Wednesday | Working day | March 31 |
The final column is arithmetic, not a legal conclusion. Whether an obligation actually moves when its date is not a working day depends on the instrument that sets it, and this site does not assume a shift rule for any jurisdiction. Where a rule is known it is stated in the holiday data methodology and on the country page it applies to.
Net terms dated in March 2027
An invoice dated the 1st of March on calendar-day Net 30 terms comes due on March 31, 2027, a working day under the Singapore calendar. Terms counted in calendar days move independently of the working week, so the same term written on two consecutive months can settle cleanly in one and roll across a closure in the other.
| Invoice date | Net 30, calendar days | Net 60, calendar days |
|---|---|---|
| Dated March 1 | March 31, 2027 | April 30, 2027 |
| Dated March 15 | April 14, 2027 | May 14, 2027 |
| Dated March 31 | April 30, 2027 | May 30, 2027 (rolls to May 31, 2027) |
Net 30 and Net 60 are commercial conventions rather than statutory periods, and both are counted here in calendar days, which is how they are almost always written. Where a contract counts in working days instead, use the between-dates calculator with the Singapore calendar selected, because the two produce different dates whenever a closure falls inside the term.
